In her new book, “Spoken From The Heart”, Bush discusses the crash she caused when she ran a stop sign in her father’s car, slamming into another vehicle and killing Mike Douglas, a star athlete and popular student at her high school. Bush admitted that she and a friend were chatting when she ran the stop sign. She says she has been haunted by guilt and by the memory of the crash all of her adult life. This balanced approach to parenting is called authoritative parenting. - Set clear rules, boundaries and expectations.
