Makes filing and other repetitive tasks easier.
• Pick a message you want to take action on
• Click the down arrow next to quick steps
• Choose New Quick Step
• Example
• Choose move to folder
• Name the quick step (Move2Dale)
• Select Mark as read
• Consider “Create Appointment” Quick Step
22. Creating Rules - Filters
• Create rules to process/manage repetitive email
• Open the email.
• Click the Rules button in the ribbon.
• Choose “Always move messages from:”
• Choose the folder you want to move the messages to
• First time only click CREATE NEW
• Name the folder something like read later
• From this point on, those messages will show up in your READLATER
folder and you can read them when time allows.

43. General Time Management
• Take time to prepare for the day by focusing on goals first.
• Set daily goals first before jumping into e-mail.
• Set up calendar in blocks and schedule appointments with yourself
• Understand your most productive times and use that time wisely
• Turn off notifications that distract you.
• Every three months set aside time to plan and think (ideally three
hours) choose three goals to focus on. 3/3/3 - Three hours to define
three goals to focus on the next three months.
