De hecho, es en la primera infancia cuando más preparados están los niños para aprender idiomas.
Así que debes aprovechar esta etapa crucial y poner de tu parte para ayudar a tu hijo a hablar inglés en edad adulta. Los idiomas no se aprenden yendo dos horas en semana a una academia. Hay que ser constantes y estar expuestos al segundo idioma a diario.

Poner la tele en inglés. Huelga decirlo. Pero suele haber resistencia en este punto y hay que insistir. En países del norte de Europa no se dobla nada y los niños aprenden inglés con la televisión desde pequeños.
Comprar juguetes que hablan en inglés. Los típicos juguetes electrónicos que compramos a los niños, puedes encontrarlos en inglés (normalmente en Amazon.es encontrarás todas las versiones en inglés de los juguetes que encuentras en las jugueterías locales)
Comprar cuentos con CD's de audio en inglés. Puedes encontrar cantidad de sugerencias por edades en mi blog. Algunos te enseño cómo se leen y otros puedes comprarlos con un audio CD que te enseñará a leerlo y podrás aprender junto a tu hijo. Busca los títulos en amazon.es.
Asistir a actividades lúdicas que se desarrollen en inglés. Aunque reniego de las academias tradicionales donde lo único que hacen es repetir el fracasado sistema de libro de texto y ejercicios, sí recomiendo hacer actividades lúdicas que se desarrollen en inglés. Cada día se amplía la oferta en Madrid. Desde clases de ballet hasta clases de cocina.
Ir al teatro en inglés. Hay una compañía de teatro en inglés en Madrid que hace representaciones. Sobre todo en Navidad todos los años hacen la tradicional pantomima británica (que es un cuento navideño hecho comedia y representado para los niños).
Viajar a un país de habla inglesa. Si se puede viajar vete a países donde hablen inglés. Los niños de repente captan la importancia de hablar inglés cuando van a otro país. También pueden encontrarse con familias inglesas en las playas españolas, esto también funciona. ;-)
Tener una aupair inglesa en casa. No es ninguna locura. Si te sobra una habitación y necesitas que alguien cuide de los críos unas horas por las tardes, tener una aupair puede salir muy rentable.
Asistir a una guardería inglesa. Si se puede, hay escuelas infantiles totalmente en inglés. Esto es una buena inmersión.
Hablar en inglés con tus hijos a diario.
Aunque tu nivel sea bajo puedes aprender a hablar en inglés, frases sencillas que usarás en las rutinas diarias. Por lo que se repetirán a diario.
