The document sets out a shared vision for the UK to be a global leader in developing and adopting stratified medicine over the next decade. A consortium of government bodies and charities, called the Stratified Medicine Innovation Platform, will invest £200 million over five years to accelerate the field. The partnership aims to identify molecular causes of disease and better target treatments to patient subgroups, improving outcomes while increasing cost-effectiveness. A series of workshops developed a vision for 2025, where the UK has an increased collaborative culture and data infrastructure to support stratified medicine development and adoption.
