3. VIsualThesaurus.com Students can see a word and its relationship to other words. Each mapped word is clickable to generate a map for that word. English 10 uses this to examine connotations for words in the Poetry Unit.

4. OpenMind allows students to create concept Maps that can be converted into Outlines, exported into word or powerpoint, or exported as an interactive webpage.

This one is the “Road to the Civil War.” Students quickly see geographical representation and can see the proximity of one event to another.
