Technology Action Plan<br />Technology Goal:  During the 2011–2012 school year, John Jay High School will improve their current STaR Chart ratings in Teaching and Learning and Educator Preparation and Development from Developing Tech to Advanced Tech.<br />Description of ActivityResponsible Person(s)Necessary ResourcesDate of CompletionMethod of EvaluationStep 1: AssessmentDuring the summer our administration, technology, and SBDM committee will meet to review the school’s STaR Chart,  Texas Long Range Plan, AEIS, and AYP reports. There will be a total of 5 different technology sessions that teachers will attend on a rotational basis. Each session will show teachers how they have integrate technology while helping students master TEKS in their content area.  CIT , Technology Team, and AdministratorsLaptops, Computer Labs, Blog Directions, ElmosAugust 2011Have teachers give feedback regarding what they learned and how they will use it, Review and visit blogs setup by teachersOnce a month teachers will meet with their PLCs and they will learn about a technology resource that is available on campus. Teachers will be able to learn about technology and plan a lesson with their fellow PLC teachers. Additionally, the CIT will provide one Saturday session a month that gives teachers the opportunity to gain further insight on 21st century technology resources.
