Digital Trends in 2017: Making Business Impact in a Changing WorldEdelman
Edelman Digital's 2017 report focuses on what we see as the
growing considerations that will impact brands.
Based on changes we observed in 2016, we’ll explore areas such as paid, search, influencers, conversational technologies, B2B
and others.
Shouldn’t all marketing be relevant? Brands have access to more data than ever, especially in digital, so there is increasing potential to create more personalized experiences. But consumers are savvy and do not want to feel stalked by advertising. Brands now need to demonstrate value to the consumer at every single touchpoint. Here, we will review the opportunities and obstacles for personalized marketing and present a way forward.

A talk about ux, trust and privacy - and how these are becoming increasing important in human-computer interaction. This connection we have with our smart-everythings, it is no longer merely about exchanging data back and forth. Our connection with computers now does revolve around values which we normally find in human-to-human relationships: understanding and trust.
We humans expect that these machines do the computing effort to understand us; smart personalisation. We also expect that we can trust these machines – and the companies behind them - to keep what they learn about us to themselves. We expect them to respect our privacy. Our security.
And as designers, we need to deliver great, personal experiences. We also need to deliver trustworthy products. We owe it to both our users and the people who hire us to actively think about privacy, and to implement privacy in the flows and designs we deliver.

Innovation in E-Commerce Trends Shaping Marketplace App DevelopmentBitCot
One of the most exciting trends in marketplace app development is the integration of augmented reality. AR technology enhances the user experience by allowing customers to visualize products in their real-world environment before making a purchase. From trying on virtual clothing to placing furniture in a room, AR adds an interactive layer to the online shopping experience, increasing user engagement and reducing the likelihood of product returns.
The ongoing digital revolution and the remarkable rise of the commercial Internet over the last decade have transformed tradi- tional business models and empowered customers to engage at their convenience with organizations with whom they interact and transact across multiple channels. Today, they can browse product and service options on the go (mobile search), engage with a live agent (chat/video), resolve issues through self-service (i.e., chatbots), collabo- rate with peers to review options (social), negotiate and make purchases (e-commer- ce/m-commerce), and have items delivered directly to their doorstep.
While enterprises have enthusiastically adopted Digital 1.0 (online, mobile, and social) and asset-light (cloud-enabled) ser- vices, the next frontier is Digital 2.0.
The ongoing digital revolution and the rise of the commercial Internet have empowered customers to engage at their convenience with companies across multiple channels. Likewise, contact centers have become multichannel, self-enabling engagement hubs spanning the customer lifecycle – from marketing, to sales, and service. Enterprises that adopt this model will emerge as masters of the customer experience (CX) – driven by three megatrends: systems convergence, intelligent self-service technologies, and zero-UI design thinking.

Enterprise App Ecosystem: the benefits of a mobile, scalable and flexible ec...IQUII
The overcrowding of applications, the constant development of new projects and growth in the number of developers is making the race to visibility for applications even tougher, making success and a return of the investment made on a project more difficult.
The concept of the Enterprise App Ecosystem is still not widespread in the area of business: the rethinking of a company’s channels and services as a connected ecosystem, integrated and flexible at the same time, assumes, however, great strategic importance in the current context.
We have defined the IQUII methodology of design and approach called Enterprise App Ecosystem (EAE), analyzing in strategic and applicative terms:
- the opportunities;
- the strengths;
- the benefits;
- the key elements.
- le opportunità;
- i vantaggi;
- i punti di forza;

Ubiquitous Advertising: i nuovi touchpoint del People-Based Marketing [#openI...IQUII
Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

5. AI & MACHINE
LEARNING
Machine learning programs run on
neural networks and analyze data in
order to help computers find new
things without being explicitly
programmed where to look.
Within the field of AI, machine
learning is useful because it can help
computers to predict and make real-
time decisions without human
intervention.
6. DEEP
LEARNING
Programmers use deep learning
algorithms alongside a corpus of data
(typically many terabytes of text,
images, videos, speech etc.). The
system is trained to learn on its own.
What’s changed recently is the amount
of computer power and the volume of
data: this means that more and more
human processes will be automated,
including the writing of software, which
computers will soon start to do
themselves.
7. COGNITIVE
COMPUTING
Cognitive computing systems
use natural language processing
and artificial intelligence in order
to understand our intentions and
to enable people and machines
to interact more naturally.
Cognitive systems like IBM
Watson super-charge our human
ability to think through complex
problems.
8. CONVERSATIONAL
INTERFACES
Computers and human beings don’t speak the same
language, so we rely on graphical user interfaces (GUIs).
But GUIs come with a natural barrier: people have to learn to
use them.
Through conversational interfaces we are on a path that
could make interaction with digital services more intuitive,
more accessible and more efficient.
9. BUSINESS
BOTS
There are now 35,000 Facebook
Messenger bots available, as well as a
number of platforms that make it easy
for anyone to build a bot.
Many brands are using chatbots for
marketing and customer service
because they are capable of intimate
conversations with users and able to
remember details from previous
conversations.
10. MIXED
REALITY
Mixed Reality (MR) combines the physical and
digital realms and encompasses a number of
technologies: augmented reality (AR), virtual reality
(VR), 360-degree video and holograms.
12. OMNICANALITÀ
Omnichannel is the ability to have a continuous experience across brands, across format
and across devices.
The brands who can best interpret omnichannel data and understand all customers are
the winners. There will be a new dimension of customer decision. As a final decision is
being made to purchase, price, relationship, service and continuity will all be considered.
13. MOBILE
COMMERCE
Mobile as a channel is growing in importance for the Retail industry.
The increase in use of mobile as a shopping tool is having a real
impact on retailers who are trying to keep up with consumers’ rapidly
changing shopping behavior.
14. MOBILE ONLY
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
Companies that invest in mobile-first programs will lead.
Sophisticated companies are beginning to explore a mobile-
only approach in addition to integrating cross-channel
strategies with omni-channel experiences.
15. DEEP
LINKING
Deep mobile linking make it easier to find and share data across all
of the apps in your phone.
Contextual deep links offer much more robust information: they
take you from site to app, app to site, or app to app, and they can
also offer personalized information.
16. VIDEO 360°
360° video has transformed the viewing experience from a
passive one to an active one, more engaging and exciting. It
brings the viewer into the action and gives them authority in
choosing how to navigate the video content.
Creating content with the use of a panoramic video camera is a
major evolution in how brands can use video to engage with
their viewers.
17. REAL-TIME
FACT CHECKING
Buoyed by new technologies and our
recent election cycle, real-time fact-
checking will be a priority in 2017.
News organizations have a tremendous
opportunity to use AI along with social
media data and their own article
databases, to build tools for real-time fact
checking, adding a critical editorial layer
that’s both good for the public interest and
good for building brand reputation.
18. SYSTEM
INTEGRATION
A total system integration is able to
optimize the information flow and
management between company
systems (eCommerce, CMS, legacy
etc.) and the processes with the
aim of enhancing omnichannels
and efficiency.
19. DIGITAL
TRANSFORMATION
The need to build an organization that can change its technology and its culture
rapidly is no longer an option.
Digital Transformation will be core to not only surviving in the time of business
disruption, but building a business model that is agile, adaptable and designed to
thrive long into the future.
20. EXPERIENCE
BUSINESS
Experience is the key to our future
relationships with customers.
Bringing customers closer to
experiences is the key to driving true
value. Bringing them personalized
experiences is the key to the future of
business.
