This document discusses team coaching and covers several key topics: the stages of team formation according to Bruce Tuckman's model of forming, storming, norming, performing, and adjourning; the five dysfunctions of a team according to Patrick Lencioni which are absence of trust, fear of conflict, lack of commitment, avoidance of accountability, and inattention to results; and an example of team coaching in an IT environment using scrum methodology which emphasizes self-organizing teams, daily stand-up meetings, and product backlogs.
The next stages of your journey to agile performance managementDavid Perks
In a transition from traditional performance management to agile performance management, there are people capabilities that need to be strengthened. This is because everybody leads in an agile environment, and usually leadership development training has not been available wholesale throughout the organisation. You don't need the capabilities in order to begin, but you do need the capabilities in order to master an agile culture and foster an agile performance management mindset among your people.

In software, most of the work that adds value to the development process is performed by people usually in the form of a project-team. While every project is unique in nature, and therefor the dynamics of a project-team most certainly will (have to) vary from one project to another, there are some proven steps and guidelines towards building high performance teams that consistently deliver good results across all projects. Join this session to learn about this important topic and evaluate results of real life implementations of the principles discussed in this session.
Agile Leadership Is Overrated - Isnt It?lazygolfer
Presentation for Mile High PMI Workshop on April 11, 2009
Abstract:
This workshop will focus on the concept of leadership in organizations which use an agile development process. When people speak about agile it is common to hear terms like “no command and control,” “there is no one particular person in charge,” and “managers support rather than manage.” In this type of environment, where is there room for “leadership?” The workshop will look at leadership from several different perspectives and examine whether or not leadership is necessary. If it is necessary for leadership, where does it come from and how is it manifested? For project managers a thorough understanding of the realities of agile leadership is not a nicety, it is a necessity for success with agile projects. The workshop will consist of approximately equal parts presentation and hands on exercises.

This closing keynote at the first AICPA EDGE Conference in New Orleans included a facilitated conversation with this group of over 100 young professionals.
Tom Hood led the process with alumni form AICPA's leadership academy who have been taught the i2a: Insights to Action - Strategic Thinking System. They led table discussions and used sticky notes to make their ideas portable and their thinking visible to others. The results are on slides 17-26.
We are quickly moving from command & control to connect & collaborate and these young leaders understand these changing dynamics of leadership.

Editor's Notes
Hello everyone!
You know me, so if you do not mind, I will skip the part where I am introducing myself.
The topic of my presentation is “Team Coaching”. It is the perplexing topic. Do you know why? Yes, because the object is people. Someone says it is easier to control the space station than to manage people.
Having chosen the topic, I desire to immerse yourselves into the topic and to help you be attuned to:
purposes and significance of team coaching;
diversity of themes that should be covered;
challenges coaches could bump into;
essence of team building;
team coaching in terms of IT industry;
and, the last but not least, some good practices for team coaching.
I hope I will succeed in that
In order to meet the target, I am going to embrace the following 6 elements and make a summation in the end.
