Teachers were surveyed about discipline issues in their school. The majority reported discipline as moderate, with verbal violence and disturbing classes occurring to a moderate extent. Causes of violence included absenteeism and drug abuse. Disciplinary measures were sometimes applied to aggressive students, usually in the form of verbal or written warnings. Teachers suggested increased supervision and counseling could help prevent aggression.
