This document describes a new technology for chemical sensing using printed sensors on disposable tissue. The sensors can detect explosives like TNT and DNT by wiping or rolling the tissue on a person's body or clothing. The technology uses screen-printed electrodes with proprietary inks for conductors and catalysts, allowing for multivariate analysis and a unique spectral signature for each explosive. It aims to provide cost-effective explosive detection that is easy to use and widely deployable, targeting the airport and government security market. Initial funding of $1M is requested to develop a working prototype by late 2011 and penetrate the market by mid-2012.
