You've heard it all before: Millennials want flexibility, state-of-the-art technology, career development, purpose, and meaning in their work. But really ... who doesn't want these things? This isn't a Millennial problem, a Gen Xer problem, or a Baby Boomer problem. This is an organizational problem.
Building a Culture of Trust and Transparency Through ConfluenceAtlassian
The natural inclination for most global public companies is to hide things, yet transparency has always been core to HubSpot’s culture. But, a culture of transparency doesn't just happen -- you have to build it. One of the primary ways HubSpot has built a transparent culture is through "the wiki," powered by Confluence. At HubSpot, all 2,500 employees are encouraged to think like stakeholders or CEOs. Everyone has access to the wiki where everything is shared - from financials to strategy - with everyone in the organization. Why? Because sharing builds transparency, trust and alignment. The "wiki" removes the incentive for teams and leaders to solve for themselves over the organization, and instead encourages conversations, collaboration, and innovation for a common mission.
In this talk, Katie Burke, HubSpot's Chief People Officer, will share the story of how Confluence became a pillar of HubSpot's award-winning culture, as well as highlight specific use cases you'll be able to implement at your own company.

There is no doubt that it is the job of the CEO to define the culture, lay out the vision and overall direction of the company. To whom do they turn to execute on that vision, though? The job of a CTO now lays not just in technology, but in ensuring that there is a culture-based infrastructure that runs through the entire company. Maintaining that vision and leading the company to stay consistent in both product lines and consumer voice is arguably the most important job of a CTO today.

The SlideShare 101 replaces the earlier "SlideShare Quick Tour".
For millennia people worked in relative stability with industries sustained by very little change for hundreds of years. Even the industrial revolution saw a high degree of stability after the initial disruption. Mining, foundries, railways, shipping, mills etc employed thousands for a lifetime. This saw the creation of new towns and cities dedicated to major industries and gave rise to the illusion of job security - a notion that persists in many political minds today.
In <50 years that heritage has been swept away by technology and globalisation. The future now belongs to the mobile, the connected, the networkers and the most adaptable. A lifetimes employment in one job in one sector living in one place is rare. Even mining and agriculture are increasingly automated to require fewer people with less muscle and more tech skills. And while the media feature the destruction of jobs and a total takeover by the machines, the empirical evidence shows a growing number of vacancies for the skilled and those educated to adapt to the new needs of an age of robotics and artificial intelligence.
Everybody, every society and country, now face significant challenges in the need to change and adapt to technological advance….
“ Exactly like Mother Nature and biological evolution, technological evolution shows no compassion and no care - it really is about the survival of the most adaptable”

It's Not About Technology (pdf with Notes)Tim O'Reilly
My talk at Velocity 2015 Optimized Business Day. I talk about the imperative to use technology to empower workers, not replace them. This isn't just for highly paid knowledge workers. Finding ways to put everyone to work productively is one of the great challenges of the 21st century. Bonus: a great segment from Steven Vincent Benet's poem John Brown's Body.
Paul Redmond: 'Generation Crunch!' Careers, Employability, and the Credit Crunch – new concepts for old ideas. Slides from the University of Liverpool Learning and Teaching Conference 2009.
Due in part to the credit crunch, globalisation and the sweeping changes that are taking place in organisations, this year’s graduate recruitment market is in the forefront of a profound shift. Gone are the old certainties about ‘career’, ‘security’ and ‘graduate jobs’. In their place has come a new social and economic realism.
Though today’s students are at the forefront of these changes, few have any experience of economic recession, unemployment or falling standards of living. But as ‘Generation Y’ - the world’s first ‘digital natives’ - will this lack of knowledge and experience prove to be a help or a hindrance?
The aim of this presentation is to explore the current state of graduate recruitment in the UK, the conceptualmeanings attached to terms such as ‘employability’, ‘graduates’ and ‘employment’, what employers really want from graduates, and how higher education can best prepare students for a future that as yet does not exist.

There was a time when Bell Boys would bring you a printed message from the electric telegraph; when a telephone operator would ask you for the number; when a typist would type your letter; when the Xerox operator would create your copies; when the computer operator would load and run your program; and when a secretary would organise your mail. Those days and those jobs are long gone, but at the time the concern was; what would these people do when they came redundant ? In reality all these people found employment as new jobs were created at the behest of new technologies. Web designers, CAD experts, IT specialists, data analysts, spread sheet drivers and many more replaced the old to the point of staffing shortages. Perhaps more poignantly; we are all now the bell boys, telephone operators, typists, printers, copiers, computer operators and secretaries - empowered by the self same technologies!
Today we see a global shortfall of some 200,000 Big data analysts complemented by similar needs for specialists and experts in Artificial Intelligence, Business Modelling, Decision Support Systems, 3D Printing, Genomics; Nano Tech and more. And there is a huge demand for people with the ‘hands on’ skills to design, build, repair and fix just about everything. The reality is that many of the people in these spheres derived their base skills through play. Wasting their young lives on a screen playing computer games, searching the web, hacking code, ‘building stuff’ and more turned out to be their springboard to employment and personal prosperity. But this presents companies and managers with many new challenges as they find it difficult to let go of the old and embrace the new.
Hierarchies and old management methods might just work for industries that are static and churning out the same product day after day, but for those facing rapid change and unpredictable demands, then agility and flexibility are ket, and that demands low flat structures with new and autonomous ways of working…
Complex creative knowledge worker environments require adaptive management solutions such as the Kanban Method. The psychology and sociology of people involved means that prescriptive solutions to process definitions and organizational performance will meet with resistance and the outcomes are unreliable.
70% of Transformational Change programmes fail. 68% of IT projects fail. Most of what we are working on will never succeed. How can we prevent this huge waste of resources. This deck explores the role of innovation labs in early stage testing and fast failure..

Nurturing Failure: creating a risk-tolerant library culture that embraces cha...Chris Sweet
The culture of success is pervasive in our society. It is unacceptable to get anything other than an “A”. “Win at all costs.” “No room for error.” At the same time, we know that great inventions always come after a long string of failures. In the corporate world, a few very successful companies and entrepreneurs have learned that calculated risk and the freedom to fail are the keys to innovation and progress. Richard Farson, author of Whoever Makes the Most Mistakes Wins hit the nail on the head when he wrote: “Relying on conventional, outmoded ideas about success and failure stands in the way of your ability to innovate, compete, and stay ahead of the curve in a changing economy.” This webcast will examine how creating a risk-tolerant culture can aid in keeping academic libraries both vibrant and relevant in the current economy.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

Memorandum Of Association Constitution of Company.pptseri bangash
www.seribangash.com
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.
https://seribangash.com/article-of-association-is-legal-doc-of-company/
Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.
https://seribangash.com/promotors-is-person-conceived-formation-company/
Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.
https://seribangash.com/difference-public-and-private-company-law/
Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder

11. Peak Employment
Q. Will we, at some point in not so far away future, reach
peak employment?
A. Yes.
12. Peak Employment
What makes humans uniquely suitable for jobs?
➔ IQ - Machines with IQ>100
➔ Muscle Movement - Lots of special purpose robots
➔ Ability to hear - Solved
➔ Ability to see - to be solved in 15-20 yrs
➔ EQ - no progress
➔ Creativity - no progress
13. Peak Employment - higher skill
Low skilled and unskilled laborers are being
replaced already
14. Capitalism
Belief:
➔ If you work hard, you can all be “successful”
➔ Works when incremental effort translates into efficient value
In Future:
➔ If you work hard and more efficiently than machine, you can be successful.
Result
➔ Fewer types of jobs for humans
➔ Fewer people can get jobs ( high IQ/ high EQ )
➔ High Demand for such people, low for everyone else
➔ The gap widens
15. Capitalism - Transition
“Income inequality is the defining challenge of our times”
- Barrack Obama
“Half of global wealth held by 1%”
- Oxfam Report
“The world’s 85 richest people are as wealthy as poorest 3 billion”
- Oxfam Report
“One [threat] is that AI does enough labor substitution fast enough to change work
policies, or [affect] the creation of new jobs that humans are uniquely adapted to — the
jobs that give you a sense of purpose and worth. We haven’t run into that yet. I don’t
think it’s a dramatic problem in the next ten years but if you take the next 20 to 30 it could
be”
- Bill Gates
