2. When he was only four years old, Dima was abandoned by
his father. Deeply hurt, he misbehaved and frequently
disobeyed his mother, who was struggling to raise him
alone. Each weekend, Dima’s mother would take him from
their home in Zhytomyr to the village of Buky to visit his
grandmother. It was there that he was invited to attend a
Tomorrow Club for the first time.
For Dima, the experience didn’t last long enough! He
wished he could stay longer at the club, where he heard
about God and became interested in reading the Bible.
Over the last five years, Dima has become one of the
club’s most regular attendees. He’s also participated in
several Christian camps and evidenced a deep desire to
discover more and more of God.
One year ago, Dima began to attend the church his
Tomorrow Club leaders also attend. At one service, he
repented and gave his life to God, the Father who had
been seeking him. “I believe that Christ died for my sins
and saved me,” he says. “I’m learning how to serve Him.
Now God is my Heavenly Father.”
