2. Meet Mormons-Hunter Hartman
About Me
I'm Hunter Hartman from Ladera Ranch, California. I
enjoy being a husband, father, son and friend. I have been
blessed with so much in my life and have God to thank for
all of it. While I have had my own struggles and difficulties
I would say one of my greatest gifts is my testimony of the
Savior Jesus Christ and his gospel. It brings so much hope
and peace into my life and allows me to see the bigger
picture. My hobbies include Family, Religion, Golf, Sports,
Learning, Reading, Movies, Numbers, Sales, the beach and
ocean, finding out about others, and service.
3. Why I Am A Mormon
As a member of the church, I have been so blessed throughout my life. I have ancestors
on both sides of my family that were pioneers. I have read their stories and they're
inspiring. While these inspiring stories show tremendous joy and love there was also
tremendous heartache and pain they suffered. But they continued because they knew
there was something special about Mormonism, as I do now. While my family has been
members of the church for a very long time, this is not the reason I have chosen to be a
Mormon. I choose everyday to be a Mormon because I can feel it in my heart and in my
soul that the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as taught through the Bible and the
Book of Mormon make me a better person and make me happy. I have had difficult times
in my life, times that have caused me to wonder if I can continue and make it through.
Each time I have had these experiences, I have learned to lean on my family and most
importantly my Savior Jesus Christ. The relationship I have built with my Savior as I have
read scriptures, listened to modern day Prophets/Apostles and sought personal
revelation has changed my life. The peace that comes from living the gospel is what
makes it all worth it. While our Heavenly Father may not always give us what we want,
when we want it, he is mindful of our needs and will answer our prayers in ways that are
unmistakeable. My name is Hunter Hartman and these are the the reasons I'm a
Mormon.
4. How I live My Faith
I serve in my congregation by teaching Gospel Principles, teaching in Elders
Quorum and serving in missionary work. I have worked with the youth in the
past as well as in leadership rules amongst the priesthood. I try to be a faithful
follower of Christ daily by helping my fellowman. I believe we all go through
trials and tribulations that make us stronger and bring us closer to our Savior as
we feel the difficulties and mortal pains of this world. I cling to the trials and
tribulation in this world are mandatory but misery is optional. We have the
CHOICE, regardless of the difficulties, to choose to be miserable or to find the
best the world has to offer. There have been times in my life where it would be
easy to walk away from my faith in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to blame
and to be bitter but really the only one that would truly affect is myself. True
happiness and joy in this life come through family, relationships, service and
charity. I have seen this first hand. The things of the world are smoke and
mirrors and a tool of the adversary to draw us in and make us miserable as he
is. I have been drawn in and seen his power in the ways of the world and I can
attest that these things do not bring happiness or joy. I try to live a Christ-like
life on a daily basis but as a mortal I will fall everyday. I am thankful for
repentance and for the sacrifice and atonement of Jesus Christ.
