• Whatever decision Makarand takes will affect
  the interests and image of following
  – Global Institute of Management
  – EDIL and its Market Reputation
  – Shubham and Siddharth


• In our view, Makarand should do as follows:
Global Institute of Management
• Notify the placement head or authority of Global
  Institute of Management about the incident
• Shubham and Siddharth should be punished by
  the institute accordingly; For example: placement
  or grade docks
• The Institute should work more towards
  inculcating ethical behavior and moral values in
  the students; example: Adding a Moral values
  workshop
EDIL
• The culture of EDIL is built on –
  ethics, transparency, integrity, equality and
  commitment
• The interests and image of the company should be the
  primary concern
• Makarand should tell Mr. Pranit of the incident and the
  action taken
• Also, he should ensure the GM about using a better
  tool/instrument for recruitment from next cycle
  onwards
• He should also tell about the actions taken by the
  Institute against Shubham and Siddharth and how they
  would ensure that the mistake is not repeated
Shubham and Siddharth
• Should go to Mr. Pranit and Makarand and
  apologize for their doing
• Should be allowed to complete the rest of
  their internship with deducted stipend

  • 2. Concern • Whatever decision Makarand takes will affect the interests and image of following – Global Institute of Management – EDIL and its Market Reputation – Shubham and Siddharth • In our view, Makarand should do as follows:

Global Institute of Management • Notify the placement head or authority of Global Institute of Management about the incident • Shubham and Siddharth should be punished by the institute accordingly; For example: placement or grade docks • The Institute should work more towards inculcating ethical behavior and moral values in the students; example: Adding a Moral values workshop
  • 4. EDIL • The culture of EDIL is built on – ethics, transparency, integrity, equality and commitment • The interests and image of the company should be the primary concern • Makarand should tell Mr. Pranit of the incident and the action taken • Also, he should ensure the GM about using a better tool/instrument for recruitment from next cycle onwards • He should also tell about the actions taken by the Institute against Shubham and Siddharth and how they would ensure that the mistake is not repeated
  • 5. Shubham and Siddharth • Should go to Mr. Pranit and Makarand and apologize for their doing • Should be allowed to complete the rest of their internship with deducted stipend
