Skills Audit
What soft, transferable skills do you possess or need to develop and how?
Problem solving;
This is something that everyone has
to some extent but myself am
better than average as I think
before I do to stop problems arising
in the first place but if they happen I
take steps back to figure out what
happened and how, then I use this
information to work out what to do
next.
Communication;
Again everyone has this to some
extent, but I know over 100,000
English words. Therefor I am over
average with English.
Commitment;
I have never moved from a school
unless needed be, and I have passed
all my GCSE’s,
Tenacity;
I am very determined in life to do
what I want to do, if there’s
something I must do, to be a step
closer I will.
Creativity;
I am a very creative individual I
came 2nd in my schools, creativity
awards in 2009, and 1st
in 2011.
Honesty;
None of this is a ‘lie’, I assure you.
But when needed I use my
imagination to create ways out of
tricky situations.
Efficiency;
Since I am lazy, I find ways to do
long haul tasks effectively and as
quickly as possible.
Innovation;
I can find easier and better ways of
doing most things.
Trustworthiness;
I am very trustworthy as I have had
to lock an elderly woman’s house
every week when she is out for 4
years.
Teamwork;
I am usually the team leader; even
though I do not request this, people
choose me instead of putting my
foot down and making myself in
charge.
Entrepreneurship;
I and my team won the school Lion
Heart challenge, which moved us
onto the city’s championships of the
challenge where we placed 4th
.
Reliability;
I am very reliable, since I have had
to spend around 2 – 3 weeks home
alone with a dog during the summer
holidays, walking him 3 times a day
and taking total care of him.
Self-presentation;
I dress usually the same way each
day, no change and simple, since my
hair is medium length and curly it is
a job sorting it out properly, so I just
do what I want, quick and easy.
Punctuality;
I rarely swear, and am usually
polite.
Humour;
I can make jokes out of almost
anything, but I use them too often
and making light of everything isn’t
suited for all.
Confidence;
I think I am not confident but when
I was in a drama lesson and picked
to perform I would easily block out
the audience and do what I was told
to do.
Public speaking;
Much like confidence I can easily
block out the audience to get the
work done.
Empathy;
I empathy to those who deserve,
not those who want it. Otherwise
empathy would not exist.
ICT;
I got a Pass and a Merit GCSE’s for 2
one a week, I am fine with most
Microsoft and adobe software’s.
Literacy;
I passed both of my English
subjects, in year 10. Therefor I
haven’t done much English until last
year. Both a pro and con.
Numeracy;
I past maths in year 9, at a grade C
level, therefor numeracy hasn’t
been in my life for some time.
