Jack Rogers is a 17-year-old student currently in his first year of a two-year BTEC National Diploma media studies course at Eccles Sixth Form Centre College. The course covers topics like television/film law and certification, radio, photography, music video production, and more. Jack feels the skills he is acquiring, like a strong work ethic from his part-time job, being approachable, respectful, a good listener, and organized, will help him succeed at university. His main weakness is public speaking to large audiences, but otherwise feels well-prepared through his coursework and experience as a prefect to meet the challenges of university studies.

My name is Jack Rogers I am 17 years old born may 5th
1996 and I am currently in my first
year at Eccles sixth form centre college studying a BTEC National Diploma media Studies
course which takes 2 years overall this course involves the law and certification of television
and film, Understanding the Radio, Photography, Creative Media, and Creating Developing
and making a music video and understanding the aspects from it from the costs to the
development of it. Personally to do the courses relating to media I feel that the skills that I
have acquired during the 2 years of study at Eccles sixth form centre will help me and
benefit me in university the skills that I have acquired during the 2 years are that I have a
great work ethic and with a part time job being employed means that I show my work ethic
in all areas I am calm and easy to approach to meaning that I can help anyone with anything
I believe that respect is a key feature if you respect others you will be respected also I
believe that I am a good listener and this is a key skill to succeed in university not only do I
have a great work ethic I was a prefect in high school for 2 years which showed
responsibilities such as trust and honesty. I feel that I am perspective I am prepared to take
on challenges and deal with difficult situations even if unpopular or dangerous. I have the
courage to overcome fear as well as ability to take a moral stance under
Stressful circumstances. Also i am a good organiser and I’m good at making sure things
Happen. I ensure work is completed by I and also maintain good relationships among group
members’ also have great optismi expect the best for the future and I plan and work to
Achieve it focus is on the future and on a positive future at that. I know that if i set goals and
work hard good things will happen. Personally I don’t have that many weaknesses I feel that
everyone has a weakness for me my main weakness has to be if I was doing a speech
wrighting it is no problem however if it is a large number of audience I do get a little
nervous. To do the courses that I want to take at university I nknow what I have to do to
achieve this I have to get double distintions and a meritt overall
