The document discusses the filmmaking techniques used in a thriller film about a school massacre. It describes how cross-cutting was used between scenes of the killer and a basketball player to convey simultaneous action. Non-diegetic music and close-up shots were employed to build mystery, suspense and identify the killer. Costumes, props like blood and a machine gun, and teenage actors were used to make the film realistic and match the teen thriller genre. The school location also matched the theme of a high school massacre.

How to Create Map Views in the Odoo 17 ERPCeline George
The map views are useful for providing a geographical representation of data. They allow users to visualize and analyze the data in a more intuitive manner.
This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

Task 1
1.
2. The amount of time allocated to both the killer and
the basketball player, suggests that they have an
equal importance in the film.
Dramatic irony was created as the killer is wiping his
face as you see him put on the mask. The audience
can see that he poses a suspicious and dangerous
threat.
Cross cuts were used between the killings and the
basketball player, which conveys action and intensity
on opposite sides of the spectrum.
The cross cutting subverts conventions, as you do not
usually see two pieces of action occurring
simultaneously, as we have done in our thriller to
portray a duo of action at the same time.
3. We used non-diegetic music in order to create a
binary opposition of sounds within both the killings
and the basketball player footage. We did this in
order to convey a sense of mystery and suspense.
Synchronous sounds were used such as the diegetic
enhanced audio of the tap water.
We did not include any diegetic dialogue in our film,
as we believed that it would suit the atmosphere
much better, as there was constant action during the
film, that there would have not been a need for any
sort of dialogue.
With the sound we subverted conventions, as we
used contrapuntal sound as there is classical music
playing, which would create a calm atmosphere,
when in reality the killer is creating havoc.
4. There were multiple low angle shots on the killer,
which identify him as a high status throughout the
film. This would allow the audience to acknowledge
the fact that he plays a major role in the film.
The prolonged shots of both the killer and basketball
player indicates their importance in the film, which
could be because they have similar traits and may
have connections.
A variety of close ups were used in our film such as
when the killer is washing his hands in the bathroom,
which indicates his emotions as he is a cold-blooded
killer.
We matched conventions as the use of close ups
and low angle shots helped identify the authority
within our thriller.
5. The costume we used for the killer is very
significant, as the audience cannot see the
killer’s emotion whilst wearing the duck mask.
This also helps address how the people who
get murdered respond with confusion and fear
combined, as they do not know directly how to
react prior seeing the killer.
We decided to kill some people who are in
uniform, and some in non-uniform, as it helps
identify that the film is in a high school.
We subverted conventions with the use of
costume, as you would not usually associate a
killer with a suit and a duck mask.
6. The choice of actors we employed as the
killer was a male teenager. This ensured
that our film is more realistic and relatable,
as the high school massacre we based our
film on also had a teenage protagonist.
The basketball player was also a teenager,
which backs up the idea that our thriller is
based on a high school massacre, with high
school actors.
We matched conventions as we included
teenagers as our actors in order to match
the teen thriller genre.
7. We used blood in the opening seconds when the
killer was washing blood off his hands. The use of
blood gave an indication to the audience that he is
a killer and is involved in dangerous activities, and
also foreshadowed the horrid events which followed.
The other prop we used was a machine gun, which
portrayed the character of the killer as evil and cold-
hearted. The gun also conveyed how many people
would be killed in the film.
The blood and machine gun match conventions as it
makes our film look realistic and believable as there is
a killer with a machine gun, whilst also having shots of
blood to match other thrillers.
8. The location we used was
a school, and we did this
specifically as we based
our film on a high school
massacre. We believe that
this location was the most
appropriate as it helped
address the theme of our
thriller.
The location matched
conventions as our thriller is
based on a high school
massacre, therefore we
used a high school setting
of our thriller.
9. The change in font for some of the
companies mentioned in our titles were
based off a film called ‘Ae fond kiss’,
which we based our titles off, as certain
companies had certain fonts used in the
titles. We also decided to include our
names that faded in and out throughout
the screen, to show the full use of area
around the video.
