DESIGNATION-Piping Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES:-
 To execute overall on plot piping fabrication and erection works include identification of materials,
coordination for the qualification of welders, inspection of site as per isometric, GAD and P&ID,
fabrication of pipe spool, organize inspection of welding, coordination for the NDT, installation of
piping, preparation of mechanical punch list, hydro testing.
 To study the vendor manuals for monitoring the materials delivery and ensuring all inspection of
material/equipment as per vendor specification.
 Preparation/coordination in getting approval of daily inspections from the client.
 To coordinate for the installation of mechanical static and rotary equipment’s like vessels, pumps,
blower, compressors, turbines, organizing vendor arrival to the site at the time of commissioning,
coordination for the commissioning activities with vendors etc.
 To assist pre commissioning and commissioning activities of piping systems completed include
flange joint leak test, air flushing, water flushing, nitrogen purging etc.
 Preparation of construction method statements and procedures like procedures for fabrication of
piping, installation and testing of piping and structure’s, installation of equipments etc.
 To liaise with procurement and material management team to ensure the project piping material
delivery are in time as per planned schedule to site.
 Identify material specification, inspection requirements and organizes for stage inspection as
required.
 Prepared pipe isometrics, P&ID and piping plan with emphasis to process, economics and safety
of the piping system.
 Checked and reviewed construction drawings to reflect actual site arrangement.
 Performed material take-off then monitored materials for procurement to ensure designed quantity
and material specifications.
 Checking & Issue of Isometrics (P&ID Check, Line Routing, Support Check, Special requirement
check etc.)
 Preparation & Checking of Civil Loading Data (Structure & Pipe Rack),Foundation Load Data
 Preparation of TQs/Comments on the Vendor Documents (Equipment Drawing, Spring Support
Drawing, Special Valve Drawing etc.)
 Planning and Preparation of Bill of materials. Studying the Isometric, GAD & P&ID drawing of
piping. Preparation of Method statement, Procedures and Job safety Analysis of different jobs.
 Providing the up to date progress to planning section and senior Managers to fulfill the targets.
Handling different hurdles in site work.
 Job distribution to workers and Reconciliation at site.
 Erection and alignment of pumps, Stack, casting M/C, pipe rack structures.
 Monitoring the NDT testing like root and final weld die penetration testing.
 Material and work inspection regularly with consultant engineer. Making the As built drawing and
residual Engineering, Supervised field work effectively in an assigned responsibility.
 Testing and Pre commissioning activities like Pigging, Hydro-testing, Pneumatic testing, flushing of
Gas and fuel oil Pumps associated piping.
 Preparation of Comments on Civil Structural Drawing, P&IDs, Equipment Engineering Drawings
etc.
 Selection of Pipe Supports, Special Support & Spring Hangers.
 Continuous use of Material Specifications for finalizing Line Routing & Layout.

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, Bihar.
