Synthetic suede fabrics can develop pilled, rough, and thin areas due to normal wear and cleaning. This is caused by the thin, non-woven construction of some synthetic suede fabrics which are not durable enough to withstand repeated friction. Once damaged, there is no way to repair the fabric. Manufacturers are responsible for ensuring materials can withstand normal use and care.
