Ross Capicchioni is based on a true story, which is about a 10th grade transfer student (Ross
Capicchioni) that is greeted and welcomed by another student at his high school. While Ross was
enjoying his time at school and building his friendship with one of his peers, the so called
friend was plotting to kill Ross but could not find a good time to do it. The song finally gets to a
point where Ross is offered a car by his uncle and is asked by his friend to be dropped off on a
side of town that is known to be gang affiliated. Regardless of the countless signs Ross notice s,

Journal VI: This Semester
I am thinking about every semester I have had at Brandeis so far; I feel that in every single one I
earn more life lessons that I can carry with me. This semester, I have gained more empowerment in
learning more about the person I am.
In previous semesters, I have grasped my Latinx identity through Latin American related courses
and through the exploration of its complex and vast history and culture. My immigrant identity
has developed through my own experience, my awareness work in the subject, investigating more
about it in classes, through my work in journalism, and my travels. There are so many different
parts of me that I am constructing one by one. It is as if each brick counts as one particle of my
whole me. This semester, I have been able to strongly grasp my queer identity, feeling more
comfortable in my own skin, by accepting who I am and sharing it with others the people I love and
who are important in my life. For sure my queer identity is the least explored brick out of the
whole construction of myself. And maybe because it is an identity I cannot explore without
other(s). I think that I can certainly speak about how I feel attracted to people of the same sex as
mine. However, I certainly think that if I do not love someone back, how could I be sure of my
queer identity? So I experienced a tidbit of love and a much too soon heartbreak, but it made me

Then the line started moving forward. As I made my way though the corridors, the line finally
shortened and we went through a door that led to what seemed like a boiler room and basement.
There were boilers in every corner and I all most ran into one! Finally we stopped in front of an
