Creating a Dream Board
The document discusses creating a life map or vision board to envision your future goals. Over several days, people will collect ideas and responses to prompts in a Google Document about careers, influences, life goals and dreams. They will then create an individual collage poster representing their wishes for the future using images, quotes and other materials.
This document provides guidance for developing a story plan in groups. It instructs writers to present their initial plan to their group for feedback on themes, characters, setting, plot, and style. Writers are then told to incorporate the group's feedback, which should comment on whether the plan is interesting and what aspects are positive or need improvement. The document outlines taking turns developing plans and receiving feedback in a workshop format.
This document discusses ways to teach creativity and think creatively. It introduces the SCAMPER technique, which provides a mnemonic device to help with brainstorming. SCAMPER prompts thinking about substituting, combining, adapting, modifying, putting to other uses, eliminating, and rearranging ideas. The document also discusses Torrance's incubation model and metaphors for divergent thinking, such as "looking twice" and "digging deeper" to fully explore ideas, and "listening to a cat" to let information inform new insights. The overall aim is to provide tools and frameworks to help people learn and think in more creative ways.
The self assessment form summarizes the strengths and weaknesses of a magazine pitch. For the pitch, strengths included providing detailed information on price, images and release times, while a weakness was not deciding on a name. For planning, strengths were being up-to-date and including all planning in a blog, while focusing on the target audience, but weaknesses included drafts that could have been more detailed. For the design, strengths were using a purple color that would appeal to different genders and an image that would attract the target audience.
This document provides layout instructions for a magazine. It includes sections for featured articles, text boxes, and images. The image planned is prop-dominated and in black and white to look sophisticated and handmade rather than glossy. Sections are designated for featured articles and other information.
Leah initially thinks the project will be difficult as she struggles to come up with original character designs and ideas quickly. She feels she is better at storytelling than visual design. Her mood board research showed natural, dark backgrounds and medieval costumes recurring frequently. She thinks keeping designs simple and universal will help the game fit the genre and connect with players. Her schedule has her researching existing games in Week 1, gathering audience feedback and prototyping in Week 2, and producing the project in Photoshop over Weeks 3 and 4 before evaluating her work in Week 5.

This document discusses exploring spaces from different perspectives, such as that of a "little person" or person with a different role or identity. Students engage in activities where they take photos of spaces from a little person's perspective and wear "magic glasses" and take on character roles to experience spaces differently. They evaluate what makes spaces feel comfortable or uncomfortable and which groups use spaces and how. The goal is to redesign a school space, considering different groups' wants, needs and perspectives to improve the space for all.
The document discusses drawing a "Life Compass" to provide direction and intention in life. It explains that a Life Compass has four cardinal directions - North, South, East, West - that symbolize the four most important principles that guide a person. It instructs the reader to identify their Life Purpose as their North Star, which is the highest principle that can guide them. The document provides tips for finding one's North Star and constructing one's Life Compass by choosing four guiding principles.
The document provides design guidelines for a presentation, including choosing 2-3 core colors, selecting a font, and picking a consistent shape. It also includes slides for a designer named Tim Croft's branding presentation for his graphics company Moonbound, with taglines and illustrations emphasizing his passion for creativity, client relationships, learning new skills, and bringing ideas to life.
The document outlines an initial plan for a game design project. It includes an initial reaction expressing concern about coming up with original ideas and character designs quickly. This document discusses the design, analysis, and optimization of a MEMS piezoelectric energy harvester. It aims to design an energy harvester using a piezoelectric material, analyze the generated output power, and optimize the output power based on various factors. The energy harvester is designed using MEMS technology and utilizes the piezoelectric effect to generate electric charge from applied mechanical stress. Lead zirconate titanate is selected as the piezoelectric material. Simulations are conducted and calculations are performed to determine the output power of 8.94x10-20 watts, with future scope to optimize the output power by reducing vibration frequency.
Rooting is the process of gaining administrative privileges on an Android device. It allows users to control their CPU, flash custom ROMs and kernels, remove pre-installed apps, and back up their system for seamless transitions. However, rooting also carries risks like bricking the device, voiding the warranty, and increasing security vulnerabilities. The procedure to root a device depends on its model and different applications like Framaroot, Towelroot, and CF-Auto-Root can be used for rooting select devices.
Maglev trains use electromagnetic force to levitate above the track and propel the train forward at high speeds without friction. They have the potential to reach speeds comparable to aircraft of 500 to 580 km/h. While maglev trains offer safety and efficiency advantages over conventional trains, their construction costs are very high. Recent government funding in countries like China and Japan support expanding maglev networks, but high costs remain a challenge for widespread adoption of the technology.

Finally, it provides examples of performing spatial analysis and visualization in R.
Short films are typically between 3 to 30 minutes in length. They have simple, easy to follow storylines that take place over a short period of time with limited dialogue. Short films generally have 1 to 3 main characters to avoid lengthy backstories and allow audiences to relate more easily. While not essential, short films commonly include a plot twist to engage audiences in an interesting, creative way. Due to their independent nature and limited resources, short films typically have low budgets that stick to one or two locations and a small cast, giving the films an arty feel. Short films appeal to a niche audience because of their creative formats, brevity, and lesser known nature compared to feature films.

Design Thinking in Solving Problem - HCMC Scrum Breakfast - July 27, 2019Scrum Breakfast Vietnam
This document discusses design thinking and how it can be used as a problem solving methodology. It describes design thinking as a human-centered approach that involves five phases - empathizing, defining, ideating, prototyping, and testing. The empathize phase is about understanding user needs through interviews, observations and immersions. In define, insights are used to frame problems and opportunities. Ideate is focused on generating many ideas. Prototypes are then created to test ideas. Finally, in test, prototypes are evaluated based on user feedback to determine what should be kept, changed or discarded.

Art and copy: bridging the gap between UX, design and content | InVision Desi...Lauren Pope
In the 1960s, there was a creative revolution in advertising when someone decided that art and copy should try sitting in the same room. Applying a similar idea today, and getting content and design practitioners to work together more closely can transform your work for the better. In this deck, I look at:
- the importance of having a strategic ‘North Star’;
- how to come up with working principles for a blended team;
- pair working and how it can transform how you approach things.
This document summarizes Leo Burnett's career achievements and their inspiration for advertising professionals. Some of Burnett's most notable campaigns included Tony the Tiger for Kellogg's, the Marlboro Man for cigarettes, and the Pillsbury Doughboy. It provides examples of each type of model and encourages the reader to practice different drawing exercises, like drawing processes, comparisons, and conceptual models. The overall message is that visual models are effective ways to organize thinking, understand relationships, and communicate complex topics in a simple manner.
This summary provides an overview of tips for creative thinking:
- Attend events like Creative Mornings talks which provide inspiration over breakfast and discussing new topics each month. Being around other creative people boosts your own creativity.
- Consider your creativity type - practical or fantastic - and when you're best at each. Practical creativity works best mid-morning while fantastic creativity with more unusual ideas happens when tired in the afternoon.
- Once an idea hits, discuss it with others to get feedback and collaborate. Working alone can only get you so far.
- When hits of inspiration dry up, have a notebook to record ideas for later. Focus on less creative tasks during slumps.

Covey says most people look for quick fixes. They see a big success and want to know how he did it, believing (and hoping) they can do the same following a quick bullet list.
But real change, the author says, comes not from the outside in, but from the inside out. And the most fundamental way of changing yourself is through a paradigm shift.
That paradigm shift is a new way of looking at the world. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People presents an approach to effectiveness based on character and principles.
The first three habits indeed deal with yourself because it all starts with you. The first three habits move you from dependence from the world to the independence of making your own world.
Habits 4, 5 and 6 are about people and relationships. The will move you from independence to interdependence. Such, cooperating to achieve more than you could have by yourself.
The last habit, habit number 7, focuses on continuous growth and improvement.

wants to live a simpler
life
David has felt
overworked in his
current life as a
consultant and wants
to make a change
He decides to simplify
his life by ridding
himself of most of his
material possessions
He then builds and
moves into a Tiny
House on Wheels
He then moves his Tiny
house to Germany to live
with other like-minded
individuals
David now lives a
more sustainable,
simpler lifestyle and is
a beacon for others in
