Finally having a true, 2 dimensional grid will give our layouts much more flexibility and it is on us to explore the possibilities.

These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
