1. Survival 101
My group kept the scientist, the single pregnant women, the lawyer, and the doctor. We saved
the scientist because he is obviously a thinker. He will be able to make more useful products out of the
few supplies available. He will be the best person for growing the seeds and taking advantage of the
green house. We also saved the single pregnant women because she has a head start on repopulating the
earth, and she is guaranteed to reproduce. The lawyer wasn't killed because he is useful for keeping
order. He will be able the set rules, keep peace, and begin a justice system. Finally, we saved the doctor
for obvious reasons. The pregnant women will need assistance delivering her child and any children in
the future. The doctor will also be to the advantage of the people if any sicknesses occur.
On the other hand, we killed the priest, the married hippie couple, the army officer, the elderly
women, a disabled person, the lazy welfare dependent, and the university professor. We didn't keep the
priest because we assume there are probably bibles in the bunker, and if not, the chances of 1 of the 4
people we kept having some religious background is likely. We killed the married hippie because they
are addicted to drugs and drug addicts are often violent if they are unable to get their fix. We let the
army officer go because he was mentally unstable, and again, someone who is mentally unstable is
sometimes violent or difficult to deal with. The old ladies wasn't permitted to live because she wasn't
particularly useful. In rebuilding the world, there would be a lot of hard work involved and she
wouldn't be able to contribute in those areas. Also, she wouldn't live long or be able to reproduce. We
got rid of the disabled person because we were unsure of his disability. It's possible that he couldn't
walk or didn't have arms and he wouldn't be helpful. He could possibly even need medications that we
wouldn't be able to provide for him. The lazy welfare dependent was kill because he is lazy. What good
would he be if he just sat around all of the time and ate up food that he hadn't worked for. The
university professor was let go because the information that he could provide for the group could also
be provided by the scientist, the lawyer or the doctor.
