1. Survival 101
The people Ipickedtosurvive are:
 Scientist(Male):He couldhelpbygrowingthe seedsthattheyhave inthe bunker.Hismainjob
will be togrow and preserve the food.
 Doctor (Female):She can helpanyone whogetssickor injured.She can alsohelpwiththe
deliveringof anybabieswhenthattime comes.
 SinglePregnant Woman:Since she isalreadypregnant,itisclearthat she isfertile andcanhave
kids."Re-populating"the worldisgoingtobe one of the mostimportantthingsonce these
people getoutof the bunker.
 5 Year OldDaughter: She is youngenoughtowhere she can learnaboutanything.The scientist
and the doctor couldbothtake turns teachingherthings.
Why I didn’tpickthe otherpeople:
 Priest: There isn'tmuch that the priestcan doexceptkeepeveryone'shope together.Just
because he isa priestdoesn’tmeaneveryone will agree withhim.Someof the people inthe
bunkermightnotevenbe religious.Also,if he isacatholicpriest,he can't helpwiththe re-
populationof the planetbecause itwillgoagainsthisreligiousviews.
 Hippiecouple with drugproblem: Stereotypically,theywouldprobablygrow the foodbutthe
fact that theyhave a drug problemwill justcause everyoneinthe bunkerproblems.Theyalso
wouldcountas twoseparate people andsince we canonlyhave 4, theydon’tseemneededas
much as some of the otherpeople.
 Army Officerwith mental instability: WhenIfirstsaw the mental instability,itwasprettymuch
a definitelynotuntil Ithoughtabouthow he couldtechnicallyjusthave A.D.D.orA.D.H.D.He
coulddefinitelybe usefulintermsof beingthe leaderof the groupbutI don't reallyknow what
else he coulddobesidesthat.
 An Elderly Woman:Itdoesn’tsayhow oldshe is,butdependingonhow oldshe exactlyis,she
couldhave a lot of certainhealthissues.She mostlikelycan'thave kidsordo a lot of physical
work.
 A DisabledPerson: WhenI thinkof a disabledperson,Iimmediatelythoughtof someone ina
wheel chair.Iknowthispersoncouldjustbe missinganarm or somethingbutIstill feel like
there couldbe some problemsaroundthe bunkeranda lackof thingthat he coulddo.
 A Lawyer: I don'tthinkthere ismuch forhim to doaround the bunkerthatwouldbe important.
Lazy WelfareDependent: It just saysit inthe name/title.Thispersonislazyanddependentonothers.
Thispersonprobablyisn'tgoingtobe muchhelpwithanything.
 UniversityProfessor:This personcouldhave beenveryimportantintermsof teachingthe new
generationbutuntil then,thispersonisn'tneededforanythingelsewithinthe bunker.

2. All of these people couldhave contributedgoodthingsbutthe wholepointwastopickfourpeople who
wouldbe able tosurvive fortwoyearsin the bunker.
