Fellowship
• I believe passionately in adopting a pragmatic and common sense approach to
promoting sound health and safety practices. This style along with an empathetic
ear has, I believe improved the overall safety culture and helped change negative
perceptions within the organisation
• Leading by example, I am proud to have received on behalf of my team two gold
and one platinum award in Shells’ prestigious ‘Goal Zero’ initiative
• I have actively embraced all challenges within my career in the Oil and Gas
industry upskilling and enhancing my understanding of Process Safety within a
high hazard environment
• I have worked closely with the Emergency Services and associated agencies in
developing both ‘on site and off site’ plans whilst providing advice and assistance
during inspections and multi agency exercises for the safe evacuation and
repatriation
• As incoming Vice Chairman of the Isle of Man Branch of IOSH, I will have the
opportunity to actively promote the benefits of IOSH membership for both
employers and employees, whilst encouraging and mentoring existing members
to develop their CPD and status within IOSH
