SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY

The Kenya Trade Network Agency (KENTRADE) has received funding from the Investment
Climate Facility for Africa (ICF) towards the implementation of the National Electronic
Single Window system Project. KENTRADE intends to apply part of the grant in
procurement of Uninterruptible Power Supplies.
The Kenya Trade Network Agency thus invites sealed bids for this supply and installation
of Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPSs) Units as per the given specifications.

Interested candidates may obtain further information and inspect the tender documents at
the Kenya Trade Network offices (Procurement Office), at Embankment Plaza (first floor)
from Monday to Friday between 0800hours and 1630hours. Any enquiries may also be
emailed to procurement@kentrade.go.ke.
A complete tender document may be obtained by any interested bidder from the said office.
Completed tenders should be submitted accompanied by a tender security from a
reputable bank or a reputable insurance company amounting Kshs. 100,000.00 valid for
120 days from the closing date of the tender. Failure to provide a tender security will lead
to disqualification of the tender.

2. Prices quoted should be net, inclusive of all taxes and delivery, must be in Kenya Shillings
or any other freely convertible currency, and shall remain valid for 90 days from the
closing date of the tender.
Bidders MUST carry out a site survey on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 0900Hours
and 12noon from 20th March, 2014 to 18th April, 2014.
Completed tender documents shall be submitted in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked
with the Tender number and name and marked “DO NOT OPEN BEFORE Wednesday 30th
April, 2014 at 1000 hours” and should be addressed to:-

Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the Candidates or their
representatives who choose to attend at the KENTRADE Boardroom 1st Floor of
Embankment Plaza.
Youth, women and persons with disabilities who own registered firms are encouraged to
participate.
KENTRADE reserves the right to accept or reject any tender and will not be responsible or
liable for any costs associated with the preparation of the submissions.
