To whom it may concern:
I am writing today not at the request of but on behalf of Ms. Sunny Sun.
I joined the HunterDouglas Manufacturing Team at Guangzhou China in 2008.
At that time Sunny was already employed as the Production Planner in our
operations. In that role she was responsible for the coordination of all
production operations in meeting customer requirements for finished goods. In
short she was at the heart of operations. Her production planning has lead to
On Time Delivery Rates with an average of 99.9% for the past 7 years.
Sunny has continued to progress as a production planner and was promoted
to Sr. Production Planner in 2010. In the spring of 2011 there was an opening
in our internal Purchasing Department for a Buyer. Sunny transferred into that
position and started broadening her horizons within HunterDouglas Mfg. China.
Today she serves our operation as our Sr. Buyer, having been promoted in July
of 2014 to that position.
Sunny has demonstrated that with her firm understanding of our business
model, customer centric approach to problem resolution and supplier
management technique keen abilities as a Buyer. She has driven Supplier
On-Time Delivery to an average of 98% for all purchased parts and has
trimmed our supply base in the process. Shortly after moving to the Buyer role
she initiated a program to localize molding resin supplies for our North
American customers that resulted in ~400,000 RMB Annual Savings.
In December 2013 Sunny’s immediate supervisor left the office for an
extended period of time. Sunny stepped in and acted as the team leader in our
Production Planning/Customer Service Department for the next 6-months, all
the time still managing her buying responsibilities and meeting deliveries.
As you can tell, Ms. Sun has built a solid work history with our company and a
reputation for excellence in every task she has undertaken on our behalf. It is
for those reasons that I am writing this letter of referral.
Having worked closely with Sunny over the past seven years I would heartily
recommend her for any position that she was seeking in your organization.
She is a “Can Do” person and HunterDouglas will surely miss her expertise
and enthusiasm in our operations around the globe.


Unfortunately at this juncture, our China manufacturing operations are being
shut down. This is not as a result of anything that Sunny did or did not do
during her employment with HunterDouglas Manufacturing China.
