Re: Recommendation for Sunil Carvalho
Dear Sir or Madam:
It is with pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Sunil Carvalho. Sunil worked with us
to design, develop and deliver a global sales forecasting system for a major world-wide
manufacturer.
Our project called for the creation of a new application, implementing technology and software that
had not been used within our company to date. Complicating matters, our business customers and
development resources spanned multiple continents. As such, we required outside expertise to
define and implement this system for our business partners. From the beginning, Sunil was involved
in the design and development of the system. He was particularly involved in the metadata definition
and interface activities. Sunil assisted in resolving design problems and helped lead the
development team through these activities.
Throughout the project he continued to expand his leadership responsibilities. Sunil’s original area
of responsibility was primarily for metadata. Due to leadership staffing issues, Sunil stepped in and
provided direction to his peers to keep the project moving forward. He maintained a positive
environment within the group and ensured that they continued their efforts. Sunil also went above
and beyond the typical expectations for his position when he was asked to return to the United
States on two separate occasions to assist with our U.S. teams’ efforts. He has consistently
displayed a remarkable ability to cope in high stress situations effectively and to help others as well.
While I am sorry that Sunil has left the project, I know that this move is important to him for personal
and professional reasons. I give you my highest recommendation with confidence that Sunil
Carvalho will use his experience and abilities to serve you well.
