NOTICES FOR THE WEEK
1. The community cluster wise Easter Masses and blessing ofwater will begin from coming Thursday,5th April.
The schedule ofmasses has been senton WhatsApp parish group.
2. The OLCM half yearly session conducted by the diocesan laity centre will be held on coming Sunday, 8th April
from 10.30 to 11.30 followed by PPC meeting. PPC members and all assn members are invited to attend this
session. The online enlistment list has been sent in the GEM parish WhatsApp group. PPC members please
enlist the nos before coming Friday and collect snack coupons.
3. The Bible Questsecond term trophy will be given during the 9.30 am mass on coming Sunday. Cash prizes and
certificates for the outstanding toppers will be given during the OLCM session on coming Sunday as many of
the assn members will be presentfor the session.
4. Divine Mercy feast will be celebrated on coming Sunday, 8th April. As a preparation for this feast, novenas are
being held daily before the evening Mass at6.
5. The Bombay Catholic Sabha in association with Holy SpiritHospital is organising a blood donation camp on
coming Sunday, 8th April from 9 am to 1 pm. Donating blood is notonly a charitable act, but also a healthy
practice. All healthy people ofbetween 18 to 60 years are encouraged to donate your blood.You may also
encourage other faith members to donate blood.
6. Those students going to 11th std and others above 16 years, who have not yetreceived the Confirmation,
please register your names in the parish office for next year confirmation batch.
7. Whenever you come for any church work like requestfor certificates, recommendations letters, financial help
etc, please bring your family handbook updated including your community fund contribution entries.
8. So far 13 youth from our parish have benefited from the higher education fund of our parish. This scheme could
be successful due to the generous contribution from various donors including our parishioners. Itis happy to
know that, people still continue to donate for this good cause.Those parents ofour parish who find it difficult to
pay higher education fees ofyour children, please do notgo for loans from private lenders or banks. Parish can
help you without charging any interest. Contact parish priestfor further details.
9. In keeping with our parish Eco-friendly policy,parishioners are encouraged to celebrate eco-friendly Easter
festival in your families and your community activities by avoiding throw away articles etc.
10. Infant Jesus Marriage Bureau data bank has plenty ofboys and girls looking outfor marriage proposals. Those
youngsters from our parish planning to get married are welcome to make use of this facility. Recently Infant
Jesus has also started a WhatsApp group for those who are searching for jobs or those who need personnel.

11. The RCIA adult baptism course will begin from coming June. Those adults intending to be become Catholics
are required to join this course. Please meet Fr Henry for further details.
12. The next quest programme will be held on coming Saturday, 7th April. Quest programme is an opportunity for
those discerning for priesthood to interact with recently ordained priests. For further details, see the poster on
the notice board.
13. The Diocesan Human Life Committee will be organising PRO-LIFE day on Sunday, April 15 at St Joseph
school, Bandra. Bishop Barthol Baretto has sent a circular to encourage various parish groups youth, family
cell, women’s cell etc to attend this programme. See circular of Bishop on the notice board.
14. St Joseph Cardiijn technical school conduct various short term technical courses for those SSC and HSC
students who just finished their exams. For details see the poster on the notice board.
15. Few months ago it has been announced that, the Bombay High court has ordered the govtto release the land
allotted for Christian cemetery at Aarey colony. Butthe govthas not yetreleased the land in spite all the efforts
of United Christian cemetery committee.Atpresentthe cemetery committee is struggling to getthe land allotted
for us through legal means. In the process, there are lots ofexpenses.Though parishes help from the parish
funds, this amount may not be enough. In case our parishioners want to contribute for this cause, a donation
box has been kepton the altar marked CONTRIBUTION FOR CEMETARY. You may drop your contributions
when you come for mass. Also, we pray fervently that, God may enlighten the minds ofthe authorities and do
justice to our community.
16. (8.30 am mass) Today’s liturgy is animated by SCC 1. Coming Sunday turn for liturgy will be SCC 2.
17. The last Sunday, Palm Sunday collections amounted to Rs./-.
18. (10.30 mass PP) Finally, dear parishioners on behalf of parish team, myself, Fr Henry and the Sisters of
Helpers ofMary wishing all our parishioners a happy Easter. May the peace and joy of Risen Christ reign in our
hearts and in our families all through the year. This week was really hectic one for many parishioners. In spite
of all family and professional duties a lotof parishioners have helped to make this Holy season truly meaningful
and grace-filled season by their active involvementin the preparation for various liturgical celebrations including
Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and today’s celebration. I take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all
those parishioners and groups including choir, liturgy and ushering teams, Sisters, altar servers, Ministers of
the Holy communion, art and décor team, electrical and sound team, school and church staff and workers and
police personnel. May the Risen Christ inspire you to continue this good work.
19. Tomorrow there will be only 2 masses, morning at 7 in Konkani and 8.30 in English. There will be no evening
mass.
