  • 3. Dealing confirmation of Progress Summit students conclude each class a culminating productive activity that demonstrates their ability to use new vocabulary, grammar, word skills and social language in order to perform the communication goal of the lesson.
  • 4.  Exposes students to authentic, natural, corpus- informed English  All Conversation Snapshots and Sound bites feature the language people really use  Full range of social and functional communicative needs as well as a wealth of conversation strategies are presented through practical model conversations applied to the learner's own life’s experience
  • 5.  UNIT GOALS : Clearly state the communication goals of the unit  Topic Preview: Previews the content of the unit, builds schema and develops academic skills.  Sound Bites: Presents a snapshot of authentic conversation language for observation.
  • 6.  In Other Words: Provides practice inferring meaning and idioms from context.  Starting Point: Accesses prior knowledge and gets students talking.  Communication Goal : Assures students of what they’ll achieve in a two-page lesson.  Conversation Snapshot: Provides a memorable and practical model of social language and essential conversational strategies ( Ss CD-Rom)  Vocabulary: Presentations include words, phrases and collocations. Opportunity to use the vocabulary always follows.  Personalization: frequent opportunities are provided to apply new language to student’s own lives.
  • 7. Conversation Focus: Conversation Starter: Students apply the conversation strategies in free discussion and role plays. Students apply conversation strategies and new vocabulary. Pronunciation booster: Promotes accurate pronunciation of spoken English.
  • 8.  Grammar Snapshot: Illustrates grammar in context and provokes interest in the topic of the lesson. (Ss Cd Rom)  Grammar Booster: Gives additional explanations, charts, and reviews as well as more practice. ( Book G1 )  Grammar Exchange: Offers students an opportunity to engage in discussion using the target grammar  Grammar charts: Clear presenations address form, meaning and use.

  • 11.  Writing: Complete writing syllabus builds key skills  Writing Models: Make expectations clear.  Step by Step Process Approach: helps students generate ideas and builds the habit of editing their own work.  Checkpoint: Integrated skills checkpoints permit students to consolidate, review and confirm what they’ve learned
  • 12.  Workbook :an illustrated workbook contains exercises that provide additional practice and reinforcement of language concepts and skills from the Summit Student’s Book and its Grammar Booster.  Video TV Materials : Summit TV includes real TV documentaries and authentic unrehearsed interviews are accompanied by Activity Worksheets and Teaching notes.  Class Audio Program contains listening comprehension activities, rhythm and intonation practice, recorded readings and targeted pronunciation activities that focus on accurate and comprehensible pronunciation. To prepare students to communicate with a variety of speakers, regional and non-native accents are included.
