The library connected with the youth programs in the community. Research skills training using online databases was conducted as part of the library tour. All participants registered for the TD Summer Reading Club. The library provided space for youth conference. Students who did their work placements at the library fine tuned their data management and digital literacy skills. Summer students assisted with weeding and running of the TD Summer Reading Club.

the library in July of 2015
• The Atoskeswin summer program coordinator
also asked the librarian to connect the
program with community learning possibilities

The Ermineskin Asets Atoskewin Summer Student
Prep Program enjoyed their visit at the
Maskwacis College Library. They were all well
respected and paid attention to the presentation.
Also, they were surprised and amazing with all
the free reading material and books. One of the
students said, “Right on, guess I will be reading
all summer long.” We will be back to the College
for the scholarship workshop as well as the
Ermineskin Asets will be hosting a Youth
Conference for the students to take it in on July
27, 2015. Thanks for having us. Ay hai.
