3. MS FLANGES
A flange is a protruded ridge, lip or rim, either external
or internal, that serves to increase strength (as the
flange of an iron beam such as an I-beam or a T-
beam); for easy attachment/transfer of contact force
with another object (as the flange on the end of a pipe,
steam cylinder, etc., or on the lens mount of a
camera); or for stabilizing and guiding the movements
of a machine or its parts (as the inside flange of a rail
car or tram wheel, which keep the wheels from running
off the rails). The term "flange" is also used for a kind
of tool used to form flanges

4. • Raw Materials :
Beginning with this process, the system controls the quality of all incoming materials as per
the raw material test certificate of the material. Mild Steel Flanges ( MS ) are of premium
quality that ensures high durability, strength and resistivity to varied non-supporting
conditions. Also, checking in each size for chemical and physical properties of these
materials at Government approved laboratory.
• The Rust Prevention for Steel Flange :
The normal rust prevention treatment for steel flanges include yellow (Golden) paint
Coating, black paint coating or black phosphating treatment, varnish paint coating, varnish
antirust oil coating, electro galvanizing coating (Cold), hot dip galvanizing coating etc.

5. MS CIRCLE
• When it comes to steel plate cutting, there
are four popular methods in the market:
1. Oxy-fuel Cutting
2. Plasma Cutting
3. Laser Cutting
4. Waterjet Cutting
• Some of these methods are suitable for
automation and some are not. Additionally,
some of the methods are fast and some are
slow. Some methods might cost you a lot
and some are cheaper. In this blog post, we
will discuss some pros and cons of each
method and some details to decide which
method to use for your applications.Here
we use Oxi-fuel Cutting.

7. • Piston rings in a Marine DieselEngine:
Similar to other types of internal combustion engines, a marine diesel
engine operates with three or more types of piston rings. The smooth and
efficient operation of a marine diesel engine relies heavily on the secured
sealing of the piston rings and liners.
Functions of marine piston rings:
Compressiongas seal :
Compression piston rings guarantee that there is limited leakage, which
can result in decreased gas compression pressure. A leak in gas
compression will lead to insufficient power to fuel the engine and a
significant increasein fuel consumption.

Crankshaft
Typically, in the crankshaft manufacturing process, a
billet of suitable size is given a heat treatment till the
required forging temperature, and then it is
successively pounded or pressed into the required
shape by pressing the billet between a pair of dies
under high pressure.
Crankshafts can be forged from a steel bar usually
through roll forging or cast in ductile steel. Today more
and more manufacturers tend to favor the use of
forged crankshafts due to their lighter weight, more
compact dimensions and better inherent damping.
Cast iron crankshafts are today mostly
found in cheaper production engines (such as those
found in the Ford Focus diesel engines) where the
loads are lower. Some engines also use cast iron
crankshafts for low output versions while the more
expensive high output version uses forged steel.

9. Conclusion
I can honestly say that my time spent interning in Shilabhadra Enterprise resulted in
one of the best summers of my life. Not only did I gain practical skills but I also had the
opportunity to meet many fantastic people. The atmosphere at industry was always
welcoming which made me feel right at home. Additionally, I felt like I was able to
contribute to the company by assisting and working on projects throughout the
summer. For example, I assisted one of the partners with several Oxy flame cutting for
clients of the company. Also, I helped to organize all of the firms marketing contactsby
utilizing resource available within industry . In addition to these projects, I got to know
what are the thoughts going on while working or mental state reviews, and many
other day-to-day needs.
