1. The correspondence and summary-reporting competition consists of transcribing a 3-minute dictation of a letter and producing a summary of no more than half the words of a 7-minute dictated text. 2. Competitors' work is evaluated on their verbatim transcription as well as their summary based on a model summary, with credit points given for matching sentences. 3. To qualify for the results list, competitors must have no more than 30 penalty points for the letter transcription and at least 50 credit points for their summary, demonstrating skills in verbatim transcription and summarization.
