This document outlines an initiative by King's College London Library to improve its information literacy sessions. It describes moving from traditional subject librarian roles to teams focused on teaching and liaison. The library sought to incorporate new approaches to learning based on student feedback requesting more interactivity, post-session support, and accessible options for part-time and distance students. The new program includes quick quizzes, self-directed reading, in-class polling, and feedback surveys to make sessions more engaging and reinforce key messages. Going forward, the library will offer a structured portfolio of five session types at increasing skill levels, all incorporating interactive elements suited to different learning styles.
