Today…
• We will learn about parts of a sentence.
• The subject, verb, and object.
Subject
• Who the sentence is about.
• Example: Mark plays basketball.
• The subject is “Mark”.
Verb
• The verb is the action in the sentence.
• Example: Homer eats donuts.
• The verb is “eats”.
Object
• The object is what is receiving the verb.
• Example: Matt enjoys fried chicken.
• “Fried chicken” is the object.
In Korean…
• Sentences are written…
• Subject/Object/Verb
• Example: She cats loves.
• In English…..WRONG!
In English…
• We use Subject/Verb/Object.
• Example: She loves cats.

•1) Each student needs to roll the dice. The
highest number goes first. The lowest goes
last.
•2) Choose your game piece!
•3) On your turn, roll the dice. Move your piece
to the right space.

•4) Pick the card for the space your piece is on.
•5) If your piece is on “S”, pull a card for “S”
(Subject). If it is on “V”, pull a card for “V”
(verb). If it is on “O”, pull a card for “O” (object).
“Any Card” means pull any card. “Trade” means
put one card back and take a card you need.
•6) Once you have “S”, “V”, and “O” cards, make a
sentence using those.

• 7) YOU MUST READ AND WRITE YOUR
SENTENCES!
• 8) The student with the most sentences at the end
wins!
• 9) Put the cards back in the right order when you are
finished. Put the game pieces and dice in the bag!
