According to the study of Korir, D. and Kipkemboi F. (2014), School as a second home has a solid relationship to the academic performance of the students. However, because of the pandemic, home seems to become the second School of the students, affecting their study habits. Thus, this study was conducted to determine the factors that affect the students' study habits at the tertiary level using remote learning mode of education. The study used a descriptive-quantitative research design, and a self-made questionnaire is a primary tool in gathering data. Simple statistical tools were used to interpret the data. A total of 375 students from Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology – San Isidro Campus, San Isidro Nueva Ecija, Philippines 3106 are the study respondents. The results show that students used their free time to study, and most of them use 2 hours and above to study, which shows why most students are able to cope with the current education model. It also shows that the students' environment dramatically affects the study habits of the students, thus, another reason why most students are struggling to survive in their online/remote learning mode of education.

research developed an extended Technology Acceptance Model
(TAM) model for predicting the integration of E-Learning.

This research is therefore proffering an alternative admission paradigm that will go beyond considering only test scores for admission, but will consider aggregate academic records of the prospective students before admission is offered or denied. The study was conducted to analyse the actors affecting the teacher’s use of e-learning tools in Zimbabwean secondary education at an urban, private school in Harare. Forty qualified teachers and five pupils taking ICT were sampled to participate in the study. Data was collected using a questionnaire. Results show that e-learning can enhance secondary education but a number of factors are hindering the full scale utilization by teachers which include infrastructural challenges, technical competencies among others.

Mobile learning is a very exciting approach to learning that has the possibility of changing nursing education, providing learning to nurses when and where they need it and in a manner that will achieve positive learning outcomes. Coming from an apprenticeship model in the military, nurses have traditionally learnt by seeing and then doing. Mobile learning through means such as You Tube and augmented reality offer the best of this traditional way of learning combined with time and cost efficient means of technology use and greater theoretical knowledge. Reaching nurses in rural and isolated communities is also possible through these means. This is achieved through the use of SMS and online learning, that is able to be used at a time and place suitable for the nurse, enabling them to include learning within their lives in a way that suits them. Many isolated trials have occurred in nursing education over the years, starting with the use of PDA’s and although many have shown success there is not a great deal of research been conducted in the use of mobile education in nursing. Considering this research was conducted using a grounded theory approach that investigated nurse’s current use of mobile technology and their beliefs around mobile learning. The study also explored how and when nurses are undertaking continuing education, with the discovery of how they personally resource their learning. When looking at trials of mobile learning within nursing education, it is apparent from these trials and the study that nurses are ready for mobile learning and that mobile learning shows great potential as a method for education within the nursing profession.

Mobile learning is viewed by many institutional leaders as the solution for a student cohort that is demanding an increasingly flexibility in study options. These students are fitting study around other aspects of their lives including work and caring responsibilities, or they are studying at a geographical location far removed from the university campus. With ubiquitous connectivity available in many parts of the world and with the incremental improvements in design and affordability of mobile devices, many students are using mobile technologies to access course materials and activities. Even so, there are relatively few formal mobile learning initiatives underway and even fewer evaluations of those initiatives. This is significant because without a rigorous evaluation of mobile learning, it is impossible to determine whether it provides a viable and cost-effective way of accessing courses for both the student and the institution. This chapter examines the broad groupings of uses for mobile devices for learning, before considering the evaluation frameworks that are currently in use. The characteristics, affordances and issues of these frameworks are briefly discussed. A project to develop a Mobile Learning Evaluation Framework is introduced, which will consider evaluation from four aspects: 1) Pedagogical (Learning); 2) Pedagogical (Teaching); 3) Technical; and 4) Organizational.

(v) A Framework for Sustainable Mobile Learning in Schools by (Ng and Nicholas (2012).
The study was intended to examine the utilization as well as the availability of E-learning facilities in the teaching of senior school physics in Ilorin, Nigeria. The study was a survey type and all physics teachers constitute the population. A total of 60 teachers was sampled for the study. Multi-stage sampling technique was adopted in the selection of respondents. Simple random sampling technique was used to select 20 out of 35 secondary schools. Two structured checklists were used to collect data. Percentage and mean were used to answer the research questions while ANOVA was used to test hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The finding revealed that printers, photocopying machine, desktop computers, laptop computers, Android phones, electronic typewriters and scanners were available, E-learning facilities were not utilized, there is no significant difference in the utilization of E-learning facilities for teaching physics based on teachers’ qualifications and experience. It was then recommended that physics teachers should be given proper training on how to use as well as maintain E-learning facilities in their various schools in order to equip them with the necessary skills, knowledge and values that will enable them optimize teaching in a fast changing world.
COVID-19 Outbreak on Environment: Profile of Islamic University Students in H...Md. Mehadi Rahman
COVID-19 harms the implementation of learning at
various levels, including at Islamic universities. Students at Islamic universities must use e-learning for several months until the COVID-19 outbreak ends. Students are also required to have Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) to solve problems. They are also required to have Pro-Environmental Behavior (PEB) related to COVID-19. Previous research has developed a Higher-Order Thinking Skills Assessment based on Environmental Problem (HOTS-AEP). The purpose of this research was to describe an implementation of elearning, HOTS, and PEB on students during the COVID-19 outbreak. The method used was descriptive through the survey technique. This research was conducted in March 2020. The
instruments used were questionnaires on e-learning and HOTS-AEP related to COVID-19 (HOTS-AEP-COVID-19). Meanwhile, to measure PEB, PEB-COVID-19 was used. All instruments were constructed using Google Form and were distributed to 137 respondents via social media. The results showed that the implementation of e-learning was generally effective (27.74%) and quite effective (43.07%) even though some problems were encountered. Other results showed that students’ HOTS were in the poor category (26.20) while the PEB was in the excellent category (84.82). it can be concluded that e-learning during the COVID 19outbreak has gone well although some innovations are needed. Besides that, HOTS needs to be improved while PEB needs to be maintained.

A study was carried out with 33 teachers of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) to obtain information on
the interaction of classroom professionals with Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) and digital
technologies in Second Language (L2) education. MFL teachers were recruited through Facebook groups
in the UK. Research subjects were asked to fill out a questionnaire with CALL-specific statements.
Significantly, participants recognised a gap in practice versus the expectation of CALL in the MFL
classroom. Overall, participants were shown to be interested adopted and daily users of CALL who
appreciated its ease and importance for teaching and learning in L2 pedagogy.

As a result, the current study also assessed how satisfied students were with their performance on numerous metrics, such as their acquisition of graduate-level competencies, which include knowledge, abilities, and behaviour.

analysis used a Likert scale and the results of perceptions used descriptive
analysis. The results of the study show that the perceptions of lecturers and
students on online learning problems during the pandemic consisted of six
aspects (lecture plans, online lecture activities, online lecture recording and
evaluation, lecture assistance services, and lecture support facilities).
Furthermore, it can be agreed that effective online learning occurs due to the
interaction of students and lecturers as well as technology connected
to education.
Faculty members were challenged to continue teaching beyond the traditional mode during the COVID19 pandemic. Therefore, the research focused on the level of management functions and technological preparedness
of the faculty members with permanent employment status under the business programs of higher education
institutions (HEIs) in Nueva Vizcaya. The idea behind the research was drawn from the theories of planning,
organizing, leading, and controlling and technology preparedness in terms of technology access, technology skills
and literacy, and attitude toward technology. The study’s findings revealed that faculty members have a high level
of management and technology preparedness. Moreover, the study revealed that the profile of the faculty members
had no relationship to their level of implementation of management strategies. On the other hand, younger faculty
members have greater technology access and literacy skills. Furthermore, profiles were not a significant factor in
their level of attitude toward technology. More results showed that when the level of implementation of management
strategies is high, the result is also high in terms of technological preparedness. Based on the study’s findings, the
researcher recommended an enhanced program for better implementation of flexible learning in HEIs.
The 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic outbreak has changed
the conventional learning system to an online learning system. Online
learning system is an alternative that can solve this problem with the
principles of human-machine friendship learning (HMFL). This research was
conducted to obtain an overview of the implementation of human-machine
Friendship learning at IKIP PGRI Pontianak, Indonesia. Lecturers and
students become research subjects, especially those in the History Education
Study Program of the IKIP PGRI Pontianak. The research employed a
qualitative approach with the type of phenomenological research. Data
collection in this research was carried out by survey, interview and
documentation. The results showed: (1) Implementation of HMFL of History
Education Study Program of FIPPS IKIP PGRI Pontianak as a solution for
implementing learning; (2) Effectiveness of Human-Machine Friendship
Learning which is carried out in an effort to break the chain of the spread of
COVID-19 using the application as a whole, students are satisfied with
flexible learning; (3) The challenges of implementing HMFL include the
weak supervision and control of students, the problem of weak internet
signals, especially in rural areas, and the relatively high cost of internet
quota.
A transition in learning model implementation occurred in higher education
during the COVID-19 pandemic. Online learning answers the needs of longdistance
learning. However, not all higher education institutions are
thoroughly prepared for online learning. Therefore, this study aimed to
understand the online learning experience at higher education institutions
from the perspectives of multigenerational teaching staff. This study utilized
mixed-method research through a quantitative and qualitative study. A total
of 93 participants; male (n=40) and female (n=57) teaching staff filled out a
research questionnaire consisting of closed and open questions about online
learning. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and qualitative
thematic analysis. The results indicated positive and negative contributions
of the online learning process that affect the effectiveness of online learning
according to multigenerational teaching staff perspectives. These findings
contribute to the global discussion about the online learning process in
higher education and recommend the usage of online learning for teaching
staff across generations, complemented with an effective instructional design
that would help provide a rigorous learning environment.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the learning was conducted by online system. The objective of the research was to understand the commitments and preferences of students in online learning. A total of 516 students participated in filling out an online questionnaire. The data were analysed descriptively referring to the critical success factors (CSFs). Based on the research result, there were three most dominant obstacles, they were: i) Internet interference (42.71%); ii) Limited quota (24.49%); and iii) Other activities (22.92%). There were students who did not attend full-time (22.45%). The weak commitment was boredom (2.04%) and feeling that they understood the module (5.10%). There were students who do not study full-time, only filling out the attendance list (53.1%). A small number of students (2.04%) fill out the attendance list and upload assignments as a top priority. According to this research, 46.7% of students liked online learning and 39.7% did not like it. In addition, 42.83% of students were bored. It means that about 60% of saturation comes from like-dislike preferences. The remaining 40% are influenced by other factors. The students’ commitments and preferences are influenced by many factors. Those who force themselves to learn ineffectively will be at risk of learning loss.

This study described the challenges encountered by the 100 selected parents in the education of their children, enrolled at the primary level, during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Based on the survey conducted, most of the parents preferred online distance learning for the education of their children. As to the facilities used in distance learning, 96% of the respondents have an internet connection, and 89% utilized Wi-Fi to have internet access at home. Personal computers were the most used gadget in the studies of their children. The main challenges encountered by the parents were: lack or limited access to the internet and the poor internet connection in the Area. As to the quality of printed modules, there are items that are not readable and some colors of the figures are not appropriate.

While selecting automobiles for sale, the proposed software will automatically check for total number of available stock of that particular item, if the total stock of that particular item is less than 5, software will notify the user to purchase the particular item.
Also when the user tries to sale items which are not in stock, the system will prompt the user that the stock is not enough. Customers of this system can search for a automobile; can purchase a automobile easily by selecting fast. R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.

This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
