STEP BY STEP GUIDE
Specific Learning Outcomes
By the end of the sub strand, the learners should be able to:
1. Interpret works of art displayed in community galleries and portfolios
for inspiration and mentorship,
2. Create a catalogue of the exhibited artworks,
3. Describe the elements of music in different types of songs,
4. Relate music to personal experiences,
5. Participate in Football, Athletics, Rounders Gymnastics and Swimming
event as a class,
6. Value Creative Arts works drawn from various cultural backgrounds.
ACTIVITY 1
Create a catalogue of the exhibited artworks focussing
on the following aspects:
◦Artist’s Name,
◦Title of artwork
◦Type of artwork
◦Medium used
◦Price of the artwork
ACTIVITY II
Describe the following elements of music in different types of
songs,
◦ Pitch
◦ Melody
◦ Rhythm
◦ Dynamics
◦ Tempo
◦ Structure ( AB,)
◦ Texture (monophonic and homophonic texture)
ACTIVITY III
◦Participate in Football, Athletics, Rounders Gymnastics
and Swimming with a focus on fair play and
observance of code of conduct for personal
assessment.
