Perform Activity 1: Experimentation with the sounds of 20th century music systems LM pg 33 - Students reaction regarding activity Practice Write reaction paper explaining the following elements of the performance 1.setting 2.musical composition 3.Role of composer 4. role of audience 5.Sound and musical direction 6. script/ screen play 7. props, costumes G. Finding practical applications of concepts & skills in daily living Sharing period: * Give the characteristics of a. Impressionistic music b. Expressionistic music Student will listen carefully to recognize the distinct musical style of each composer. Then, they will choose a composition that they like and write a short reaction on it. Perform Activity 2: Original Chance and Electronic music LM pg 34 practice Class Discussion: -Elements of Performance -Role and importance of each element H. Making generalizations & abstractions about the lesson Comparative style of: a. Impressionist - Expressionist b. How the other musical styles differ from the impressionism and expressionism in termsof elements of music? Practice Group Presentation Listening Activity: -from video or recordings of West Side Story (Tonight/Maria /Somewhere and I want to be in America) I. Evaluating Learning Make a graph or drawing showing the characteristics of impressionism and expressionism while listening to its music.
