This document contains storyboard details for a film. It outlines 6 shots in the rough copy and 12 shots in the final storyboard. The shots establish scenes from a moving car, introduce the main character, show the character's point of view from inside and outside the car to build intrigue, and depict the character exploring a new location to develop her character and relationship with the audience. The storyboard aims to create tension, suspense, and connect the audience to the young main character through the use of different camera shots and techniques.

Final Storyboards
These are the first view shot that I
am going to take. In my image I
have displayed the first shot
looking out of a window of a
moving car, looking out onto the
fields and woodland. This is then
enhanced by the introduction of
the main character of a shot from
behind her head, covering her
face. This creates a sense of
enigma for the audience as they
wonder: Who this anonymous
person? And where are they
going?

3. In my next shots I establish the
main character. However, I think I
might reverse the order in which I
draw the shots to create more
enigma as the audience can’t
completely see the characters face
in the 3rd shot, which allows me to
drag out the suspense until it is
almost unbearable.
In these next few shot, there is a
point of view shot out of the car
window which partially shows the
audience what type of road they are
on and gives the audience a brief
insight to that they are literally in
the middle of nowhere and not in
rural England. In then frame after I
have the main character looking
around and being inquisitive to the
surrounds which highlights her
childlike behaviour and builds on
her character and her relationship with the audience.
For this shot I have an extreme close up
on the condensation with partially
blurred focus on the window which
makes a perfect transition for when the
main character gets out of the car
without as she is them shot in deep
focus from inside the car looking out the
window. The close up on the rain
connotes an uncertainty to the audience
and is commonly used in horrors to
create tension as like in my opening
scene.

4. For the next couple of frames I have a
tracking shot of a mid-close up of
grace running to the location, getting
all muddy and wet to portray her age
and innocence to the audience which
is effective as it makes it easier to
connect to young small children. As
the mid shot of Graces running pans
up, it reveals the first indication of a
distinct location. The house, not
looking to shabby but still has slight
unnerving qualities.
The next frames are of grace
entering the house and
looking around the
surroundings followed by a
mid-shot of the car out of
the window that she has just
came in driving away in the
background which gives the
audience a new ground of
knowledge from the
characters, creating
empathy for the child
For the next frame I have graces point of view which I will possibly need to do by positioning
the camera just at her eye line as
she is a lot smaller. This hopefully
should make the room and
features look significantly bigger
and distort the perception to the
audience. After that grace
encounters noise and movement
in a corner (quick panning) as half
of the shot is taken up by prop it
creates more suspense and slight
fear of the unknown.

5. The last and final shot is a point of view shot of the
chick/chicken which will merge into a close up as both
characters make their first bond and the relationship is
established. As chicks are fragile and timid it will be
easy to take several shots if needed.
