The document provides a story treatment for a horror film in three acts. In Act I, a girl finds a mysterious blank DVD while clearing out her grandmother's garage. She watches it alone and sees disturbing footage of a woman in the woods and an ominous building. She then begins seeing a strange figure. In Act II, she wakes up trapped in a strange location and has a mental breakdown before encountering the white-dressed figure from the DVD. In Act III, the figure chases her through the woods before capturing her, leaving her fate ambiguous. The film ends by implying the disturbing events will continue for others.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

4. Story Development
Act I
• A girl is helping clear out the garage for her Nan and looking for any items of interest that could
have possibly been collected over time. After finding some old photos amongst other items in the
garage she notices a blank DVD case which she opens to check if there is a disk in there and puts
it aside to watch later.
• Time passes as she continues to take things out of the garage but is visibly curious about what is
on the DVD, something keeps drawing her back to it. An unforeseen force comes over her and
she decides to run upstairs to watch it. (Shouting for her Nan who doesn’t seem to be there). She
puts the DVD into a DVD Player and it suddenly plays, there’s no sound and it seems to be of a
woman (Who looks other worldly yet familiar to her for some reason) walking through some woods
as moonlight passes through the trees along with cuts to an ominous building.
• The footage suddenly cuts out and she realises that she seems to have completely lost track of
the time as it’s now dark outside, she’s confused but shrugs it off as just becoming distracted by it
(However the footage was in no way long enough for that to be the case). In a slight daze she
turns around and sees what appears to be a long white dress before it vanishes around the corner
of the door as she rushes over to see what it was she catches a glimpse of a figure in the mirror.
• Thinking she’s just tired she goes to the bathroom to wash her face and then gets into bed but as
she closes her eyes the room suddenly changes into a strange dark older location which she
doesn’t recognise.
5. Story Development
Act II
• She gets up and begins to look around, trying the doors etc. but can’t really see anything apart from what
seems to be light coming through a window that won’t open either. She proceeds to run around looking
for a way out until she notices that she isn’t getting anywhere, it’s as if she is trapped in an infinite loop
with no foreseeable way of escaping.
• Panic engulfs her and she breaks down, screaming, crying and punching the wall – she doesn’t know
what is going and it is starting to tear her apart. Maybe she’s just asleep? Maybe this is just a nightmare?
She cant tell but it feels real. Suddenly there’s a crashing sound which snaps her completely out of the
mental break and after composing herself a little she notices a picture frame on the floor, it’s cracked
(She thinks It must have fallen during the breakdown surely?) but she can just about see the picture
inside – it’s of an old building (She’s seen it before… but where?) – the building from the DVD flashes
into her mind as she comes to the realisation that they are the same.
• At this moment something starkly white appears in the room, only seen in her provisional vision at first
she slowly turns her head to look (It’s the same white dress as the girl was wearing in the DVD footage)
and takes a step back – the figure is visible now, It’s the girl in the footage and the one she saw in the
mirror.
• Panic and Fear engulf her again as the figure begins to slowly move its arm up as if reaching for her, she
takes another set back (She’s trapped in this never ending room, there’s no way out from what she can
tell) and turns around towards the light with her back to the figure and head in her hands – The room
goes silent and everything appears to freeze. The figure’s arm suspended in the air. All she can hear is
her own heartbeat, the seconds feel like forever until the figures hand suddenly moves into a disjointed
position that resembles clicking fingers. In the silence the figure clicks her finger but the sound is more
like bones snapping and the location changes again.
6. Story Development
Act III
• She notices she’s outside and slowly takes her hands away from her face to see that she’s now in some
sort of woods. She looks around but can’t see anything, not even the figure so just runs in any direction
(She realises that It’s better to do so than staying still) – after running through the woods for a little while
the figure walks out from behind a tree, causing her to fall back onto the ground.
• The figure slowly walks towards her as she backs away into a tree but the figure kneels down in front of
her and the scene cuts before any explicit conclusion is shown to keep her fate kind of ambiguous.
• The sequence ends with separate shots of empty locations from previously in the film, I.e the garage
(now eerie, no one in sight), the room from earlier (now completely absent) and the woods with no sign of
her anywhere – however there is a blood soaked arm visible from behind a tree.
• The film ends with a sudden cut to the same footage of the old building seen on the DVD and it is
revealed to be being watched by someone else in front of a TV. Leaving the audience with more
questions than answers yet implying that the process goes on and on.
