The river Sid experienced very rough weather and storms on March 15, 2008, causing the water level to rise three times higher than normal and flood the surrounding banks. The heavy rain resulted in three serious storms that pushed water levels up to the bursting point for the river. It took over a week for the river levels to return to normal. After the storms, debris and sticks were left in the muddy, murky water, and some rubbish had been deliberately dumped in the river by lazy people.
