The Yellowstone River originates in Yellowstone National Park and flows south, providing water to Billings, Montana. It is home to many fish like trout and pike that attract anglers, though in 2011 it suffered an oil spill that killed many fish after 50,400 gallons were accidentally released into the long and scenic river which ultimately empties into the Gulf of Mexico.
