GE Capital UK is made up of 4 x operating companies and is a division of GE Capital EMEA, a global commercial
finance company.

Sourcing and Facilities Leader – GE Capital UK
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, I was responsible for managing all the organisations Indirect Procurement
spend including Facilities, Property, HR, IT and Legal. I also headed up the UK Corporate Facilities function and
managed a Real Estate portfolio of 11 x UK offices. I was also sourcing lead and knowledge expert on the UK’s 2x
merger projects carried out during 2011. In addition, I helped implement a major regulatory compliance project in
preparation for GE obtaining a UK banking license. Direct reports include the UK Facilities Management team
•   Created a property management system and developed a Property Management strategy, consequently
    approved by the UK senior leadership team.
•   Successfully managed the Property portfolio and FM integration of new corporate acquisition (4 x sites).
•   Managed the relocation of the company HQ to a new specially fitted out premises in central London.
•   Designed and implemented KPIs for the new GE FM contractor.
•   Delivered savings of $0.5M in the first 6 months on various projects.

AXAI is the UK Insurance division of AXA, one of the world’s largest insurance companies.

Senior Procurement Manager - Head of Property and Liability Insurance Procurement
Reporting to the Head of Claims Procurement, responsible for the procurement related to AXA’s £600M Property
claims spend, sourcing new / improved services, negotiating competitive costs, implementing watertight agreements
and leading the post contract strategic development of suppliers. Direct reports included 4 x category managers.
•   Led a team that exceeded its total savings target for the last 3 years: Yr 1 = £11.5M against a target of £8M, Yr 2
    = £9.9M savings against a £9M target and Yr 3 = £9.2M savings against a £9M target.
•   Personally delivered savings via my own negotiations: 2009 = £2.4M, 2008 = £2.4M and 2007 = £3.06M.
•   Successfully managed the sourcing and contracting for an insurance project (Geocoding) that won an Insurance
    Award for its technical and commercial innovation.
•   Researched and delivered a variety of sourcing / benchmark papers for the Head of Claims concerning Fraud
    services and Payment Cards. These were favourably received and used to support AXA’s claims strategy.

possible saving opportunities, and to manage the business’s raw material purchase contracts.

BMW GB Ltd is the UK Sales, Marketing and Distribution Division of BMW.
Procurement Category Manager (2 year Interim Assignment)
Reporting to the Head of Group Procurement, responsible for managing M&E Facilities Maintenance, outsourcing
BMW’s Marketing Print and implementing new Procurement systems.
•   Managed the retendering and contract negotiations for BMW’s M&E Facilities Maintenance activities at 6 x
    separate BMW UK locations. Saved over £600,000 per year.
•   Implemented a strategic review to source, tender and consequently outsource all of BMW’s UK Print
    Management, resulting in annual savings of over £2M.
•   Project managed the successful implementation of SAP MM purchasing system at BMW on time and on budget.
    This included delivery of the full project lifecycle from specification through to implementation and training.


5. VIVENDI WATER UK                                                                                 2001 to 2002
Vivendi Water UK (VWUK) is a major Utility Company, providing water services to large parts of Southern England.

Procurement Consultant (6 month Interim Assignment)
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, responsible for developing a new policy and procedure framework.

•   Developed and implemented new purchasing policies and procedures for the Procurement Department; this
    ensured Vivendi Water were compliant with new EU and OFWAT regulations.

Aria Group is a strategic Procurement Consultancy and partner of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply.

•   Established a new Central Procurement function for an Investment Bank, also renegotiating key service contracts,
