Healthcare costs related to cardiovascular diseases are GBP 9 billion
annually in the UK alone1, while the costs to the US healthcare system
are projected to reach USD 1.1 trillion by 20352.
40% of those costs are due to unscheduled care - without any means
to monitor their heart, patients make therapy decisions based on
symptoms they feel.
But even in the case of a heart attack, the symptoms
can be mild and ambiguous so patients delay going to
the hospital, until it is too late.
