Use the language option (Turkish or English) for your proceedings on Online Application For Students of Foreign
Nationality
Fill in the Application Form and copy and paste your digital photograph into the necessary part. Remember to save it.
After you save it, you will see the notification that your user name and code has been sent in order for you to enter Students
Automation Program.
Click on Print All and print your Application Form.
Deliver all the necessary documents by post or in person to the application address before the deadline. .
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
1- Applicants for Associate Degree and Undergraduate Programs must be a student in the last year of high school or a
graduate and must have the minimum score for the following exams.
a) The applications of those who
1) is of foreign nationality,
2) completed their high school education abroad when they were no longer a Turkish citizen or Northern
Cyprus while they had been both before
are admitted.
b) The applications of those who
1) is a Turkish citizen or is of double nationalities one of which is Turkish,
2) is a Northern Cyprus citizen or double nationalities one of which is from Northern Cyprus ( except for
those who have a score of GCE AL and completed their secondary education in Northern Cyprus),
3) completed their high school education in Turkey or Northern Cyprus when they were of double nationality
but no longer a Turkish citizen,
4) completed their high school education in Turkey or Northern Cyprus when they were of double nationality
but no longer a Northern Cyprus citizen ( except for those who have a score of GCE AL and completed
their secondary education in Northern Cyprus),
5) is of double nationality but no longer a Turkish or Northern Cyprus citizen and who graduated from one of
the embassy schools in Turkey,
6) is a Turkish citizen but had their high school education in Northern Cyprus,
7) was expelled from a university in Turkey because of a disciplinary action
are not admitted.

3. NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR APPLICATION:
1) The original form of “Application Form for Quotas for Students of Foreign Nationality or Overseas
Students”(with Applicant’s signature) (for the Guidelines on how to fill in Online Application Form CLICK),
2) High School Diploma (for those who are not a graduate yet, a document to show education status) and its
translation which is notarized or certified by Turkish Foreign Agencies,
3) The test result and its translation which is notarized or certified by Turkish Foreign Agencies if the applicant
applies with a score of university entrance exam or high school graduation exam; the transcription to show secondary
education grades and its translation which is notarized or certified by Turkish Foreign Agencies for applicants who are
from countries in which there is no exam to graduate from high school,
4) Application fee receipt, (Bank name, account number and fee are indicated below.)
4) Life Insurance Document with signature,
5) Two photographs of 4,5x6,0 cm size (Photographs should be taken front in a way to show the applicant’s face
and should be taken in the last 6 months.)
THE AMOUNT OF LIFE INSURANCE AND HOW TO DECLARE IT:
Life insurance statement is in the Application Form. When you sign the form, you will also sign the life insurance
statement.
APPLİCATİON FEE:
A Hundred Turkish Liras (100-TL) .
The application fee must be paid into the bank account TR-560001000606-44782285-5012, Ziraat Bank Beyazıt Branch.
This money is in no way given back to the applicant. (In the receipt it is necessary that the name and surname of the applicant and
the statement “Student of Foreign Nationality and Overseas Student Application” should be written.)

APPLICATIONS FOR PROGRAMS THAT ACCEPT STUDENTS WITH A SPECIAL APTITUDE TEST:
Applications for programs that accept students with special aptitude test will be done in the same way. The special aptitude test
will be done on the date and in the place that are determined by the related department. (For further information visit the website
of the related department).
THE MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION AND ENGLISH PREPARATION CLASS:
The medium of instruction in our university is Turkish.
Applicants who are accepted by the programs with a compulsory preparation class must take a Proficiency Test given by
Istanbul University Foreign Languages Department or must have a necessary score of the exams that are accepted by the so-called
Department. Those who fail the Proficiency Exam must have a prep class for a year and those who pass the final exam at the end
of the academic year will continue their education in their programs.
OTHER ISSUES TO CONSIDER:
1- The evaluation and placement of applicants is on the primacy of Istanbul University. Istanbul University has the right to
fill the quotas or not.
2- To have the necessary application requirements does not mean the right to be placed in a program.
3- Those who do not have the necessary application requirements are not evaluated.
4- Application evaluation and placement of applications are announced on the web site of the university.
5- An acceptance letter is sent to those who are placed in a program. Those who are not accepted are not informed by post.
6- Those who are sent an acceptance letter must get a student’s visa from the Turkish foreign embassies if they are not in
Turkey or from Police Departments if they are in Turkey. This visa is necessary to enter into Turkey and to register for
the university.
7- The application and placement of those who falsify documents or declare misinformation will be cancelled even after
they have registered.
8- Applicants who apply for programs who accept students with a special aptitude test can select two programs with a
general quota at most.
9- If the information in the Online Application Form is different from that in the documents that are delivered to our
university, these applications will be considered invalid and will not be evaluated.
