This document outlines the schedule and objectives for a course on reading non-fiction. Students will analyze styles of writing. - Lesson 2 has students identify elements of style and their effects. They will analyze passages and discuss findings. - Lesson 3 is about integrating effective writing elements into a commentary. Students will quiz on key terms and analyze more passages. - Lesson 4 begins the process of organizing a commentary by identifying keywords and phrases in examples. Students will practice writing a commentary.
