Sample Story
Rash driving is a curse. A double decker bus
operating on Route No.30. The driver was driving
at a very high speed. Two school girls who were
going to school were walking leisurely with their
book bags. The rash driver did not notice the girls.
The younger girl had crossed the road while the
elder one who had not completely cleared the
road was given a "Push". Luckily she was thrown
towards the other side of the road. The girls father
who was escorting them was knocked down and
was badly burnt. The younger girl ran back to see,
not knowing what had happened, and the elder
girl was completely out of wits.
Comments
A very ordinary story. The writer has not used
his/her common-sense. The views are generally
pessimistic. The writer has not woven the story
intelligently. She has projected all characters in
negative roles. It appears he/she has scribbled
the story "in a hurry". He/she has, in a haste,
said nothing about the police women in the
picture. The writer needs to project a hero/
heroine and make him/ her do something very
good, since he/she would be identified by the
hero/ heroine

Closing the interview
Opening Remark
During the next 45 minutes or so, we will
be talking more about you, covering areas
like your education, family, spare time
activities etc in detail. Though I have
gained some idea about them from the
PIQ you have filled earlier, you may now
talk freely about yourself and your
activities in greater detail.
Discussion on Education & Training
Suppose you tell me about your education starting from
middle school level say VIII std onwards working up to
your present level of education. I would be interested in
the subjects you liked best, those you did not care so
much about, grades achieved in examinations and
efforts put in. Extra curricular/co-curricular activities
which were available in school and the events you took
part in, any special achievements in the field. About your
friends circle you have moved with while at school. I
would also like to know about your close friends and why
you consider them so and also those you avoided and
why. Teachers you liked most and about those who did
not impress you much
Discussion on early home background
That gives me a good idea about your education and
other related activities. Now, I will be interested to know
about your parents, that is about your father and mother,
their occupation, how do you spend time together, your
activities at home, about other members of your family
who stay with you like your brothers, sisters, grand
parents etc. Whom do you approach for help when you
have problems. Whom do you confide your personal
secrets with. What are the activities in which you
normally get involved with your family. How much pocket
money do you get and how do you spend it? Who are
your friends in the neighborhood and what social, cultural
or other activities you have undertaken in their company.
Discussion on spare time interests,
hobbies & games
Now please tell me how do you spend
your spare time. What are your hobbies,
sports and games you have taken part in
school and college, with family members
or neighborhood friends. Your daily
routine, both on a working day and holiday
and your reading habits etc
Situation posting and discussion on
general awareness
Situation Painting
General Awareness
Self Evaluation
That was a very interesting interaction I
had with you. Now suppose you tell me
what you feel are your strong points or
assets in your personality and what would
you like to develop or improve further
