About Lissa
Lineage India Security & Safety Academy (LISSA) is an ISO 9001:2008 certified
SKSDC accredited professionally managed training organization based at Delhi with
pan India operations. Founded in 2006 by COMDT. HARDEEP CHOWDHARY, a
former Army officer, who after having sought retirement from Army/BSF,
established LISSA which, apart from him, is now being run by senior retired Army,
Police, Paramilitary officers.
LISSA has specialization in SSB interviews for officer’s rank entry in Defence
Forces. The Academy is in the hands of very senior and experienced former Defence
Officers who had been Psychologists, GTOs, IOs or Presidents of
various SSB Selection Centers. Every candidate has few plus and minus points but it
is the aim of the Academy to overcome these drawbacks so as to highlight the good
qualities among the individuals. Extra care is taken to ensure that candidates seeking

Service Selection Board
SSB in one of the most prestigious services that can bring
name, fame and honor to an individual. Every year, millions of
students sit for SSB examination, and they aim to clear so that
they can serve the nation. In fact, even after repeated
attempts, people are not able to reach that position. SSB
Interview Preparation lets you get an insight into the intricacies
that you will be facing while giving an interview. Once you are
done with written examination, it’s time to start preparing for
interview. It is important to crack both stages if you want to make
it to the top. There are various stages involved in SSB
examination of which a few are enlisted.

• Intelligence Test – In this, a candidate’s mathematical and
English knowledge is tested by experts
Description test, also known as Picture Perception
Discussion on subjects that can be related to anything.
• First, a candidates starts with the preparation for test

market. In addition, there are various SSB preparation books
available at the stationary shop. Going through these books would

will help you in written examination. When it comes to SSB
exams, timing tends to play a key role and make sure that you will
not spend much time on one question.
•Next come the Screening test
It is one of the most crucial parts of selection procedure. This test is
pretty tough and includes questions that will help in determining
general intelligence. There are many people who fail to clear this
round despite of various attempts. As far as preparing for screening
test in considered the candidates who are appearing for it should
be well aware with the logical as well as reasoning capabilities.
•PSYCHOLOGICAL TEST
Psychological Tests conducted in SSB are aimed at the
scientific study of mental functions and behaviors. A highly
qualified Psychologist will take your tests at SSB.
You will be brought under stress in Psychological tests by
giving you very short time and then your potential will be
judged by your answers which you have to write on the
sheets provided to you.

•GROUP TASK(GTO)
Group Discussion (GD) is the first test in GTO Tests. It is a friendly
and informal talk on the topics of common interests but of
controversial nature. GD is similar to what you do sitting in with
your friends at canteen of your school/college or units of your
regiment etc.
Generally there is confusion between Debate and Group Discussion
but unlike Debate there is no chair person, you are permitted to say
what you like, when you like and as many times you feel like, and No
Conclusion is to be reached, there are no restriction except that not
more than 1 Person should speak at a time.

•INTERVIEW
Interview is one to one affair between the candidate and the Interviewing
Officer (IO). Only One Officer takes your interview in SSB. During your whole
interview you will be given a chair to sit but the IO will try to pull you form
that chair (not physically but by his questions). Unlike the normal interviews
the seating arrangement will be such that all you body movement and your
manners will be seen by the IO.
Generally at Service Selection Boards interview is conducted in afternoon and
evenings but you might have you interview in morning at Air Force Selection
Boards. You must go with a relaxed mind for the interview and you must not
be unnecessarily nervous.
First and foremost you must wear a proper Dress as you first impression will
stay in IO's mind for long. In early minutes of you interview IO will make you
feel relax by asking you about your stay, journey and accommodation at the
Board. Once he feels that now it’s time to shoot some real question then your
real interview starts.
IO will try to make you panic and will try to bring you under stress as he
wants to know how you will perform under stress.
CONFRENCE
Conference in general is a meeting of people who exchanges opinions on a
particular topic. At Service Selection Boards Conference takes place on the
5th Day (not the final day as your final day will be on last day of medicals) of
your SSB Interview.
In Conference all your assessors like Psychologist, GTO, the Interviewing
officer and the President of the Board will sit together, they will be in their
service uniform and this is the only time in which you will see them together
and wearing uniform. They discuss your performance of last 5 days and take
a call whether to recommend you for Medicals or not.
Before the Conference starts there will be closing address given by the Board
President or someone else on his behalf, he will tell you what qualities they
were judging in you for Last 5 days, he will tell you that they works on right
person for right job logic. He will also tell you to think weather you are ready
for the Defence job or not as it are quite tough and if you are ready then
keep trying hard if you are not selected in this attempt. In short he is going
to apply some sort of ointment before injuring many of you.

About Lissa Lineage India Security & Safety Academy (LISSA) is an ISO 9001:2008 certified SKSDC accredited professionally managed training organization based at Delhi with pan India operations. Founded in 2006 by COMDT. HARDEEP CHOWDHARY, a former Army officer, who after having sought retirement from Army/BSF, established LISSA which, apart from him, is now being run by senior retired Army, Police, Paramilitary officers.   • 7. S S B Service Selection Board SSB in one of the most prestigious services that can bring name, fame and honor to an individual. Every year, millions of students sit for SSB examination, and they aim to clear so that they can serve the nation. In fact, even after repeated attempts, people are not able to reach that position. SSB Interview Preparation lets you get an insight into the intricacies that you will be facing while giving an interview. Once you are done with written examination, it’s time to start preparing for interview. It is important to crack both stages if you want to make it to the top. There are various stages involved in SSB examination of which a few are enlisted. • Intelligence Test – In this, a candidate’s mathematical and English knowledge is tested by experts Description test, also known as Picture Perception Discussion on subjects that can be related to anything.

  • 9. •PSYCHOLOGICAL TEST Psychological Tests conducted in SSB are aimed at the scientific study of mental functions and behaviors. A highly qualified Psychologist will take your tests at SSB. You will be brought under stress in Psychological tests by giving you very short time and then your potential will be judged by your answers which you have to write on the sheets provided to you.   • 10. •GROUP TASK(GTO) Group Discussion (GD) is the first test in GTO Tests. It is a friendly and informal talk on the topics of common interests but of controversial nature. GD is similar to what you do sitting in with your friends at canteen of your school/college or units of your regiment etc. Generally there is confusion between Debate and Group Discussion but unlike Debate there is no chair person, you are permitted to say what you like, when you like and as many times you feel like, and No Conclusion is to be reached, there are no restriction except that not more than 1 Person should speak at a time.   • 11. •INTERVIEW Interview is one to one affair between the candidate and the Interviewing Officer (IO). Only One Officer takes your interview in SSB. During your whole interview you will be given a chair to sit but the IO will try to pull you form that chair (not physically but by his questions). Unlike the normal interviews the seating arrangement will be such that all you body movement and your manners will be seen by the IO. Generally at Service Selection Boards interview is conducted in afternoon and evenings but you might have you interview in morning at Air Force Selection Boards. You must go with a relaxed mind for the interview and you must not be unnecessarily nervous. First and foremost you must wear a proper Dress as you first impression will stay in IO's mind for long. In early minutes of you interview IO will make you feel relax by asking you about your stay, journey and accommodation at the Board. Once he feels that now it’s time to shoot some real question then your real interview starts. IO will try to make you panic and will try to bring you under stress as he wants to know how you will perform under stress.
  • 12. CONFRENCE Conference in general is a meeting of people who exchanges opinions on a particular topic. At Service Selection Boards Conference takes place on the 5th Day (not the final day as your final day will be on last day of medicals) of your SSB Interview. In Conference all your assessors like Psychologist, GTO, the Interviewing officer and the President of the Board will sit together, they will be in their service uniform and this is the only time in which you will see them together and wearing uniform. They discuss your performance of last 5 days and take a call whether to recommend you for Medicals or not. Before the Conference starts there will be closing address given by the Board President or someone else on his behalf, he will tell you what qualities they were judging in you for Last 5 days, he will tell you that they works on right person for right job logic. He will also tell you to think weather you are ready for the Defence job or not as it are quite tough and if you are ready then keep trying hard if you are not selected in this attempt. In short he is going to apply some sort of ointment before injuring many of you. Conference Hall
