Hawaii is the most recent state of the USA. It is the only U.S. state
located in Oceania and the only one composed entirely of islands.

• There are two active volcanoes –
Mauna Loa and Kilauea
• The Hawaiian islands were
formed by volcanic activity
initiated at an
undersea magma source
• Because of the special soil
there are almost no lakes in
the state. The exclusions are :

○ Ka Loko Reservoir
The Hawaiian archipelago consists of 24 islands and atolls, the
biggest of them are:
