Hawaii is the most recent state, located in Oceania and composed entirely of islands. The Hawaiian archipelago consists of 24 islands and atolls, formed by volcanic activity at an undersea source. The biggest islands are Hawaii, Kauai, Maui, and Oahu. English and Hawaiian are the official languages, though other languages like Tagalog, Japanese, and Ilocano are also commonly spoken due to immigration.
