Diamond Head was named Diamond Head because Hawaiian people thought it had real diamonds in it.

HistoryOn December 7,1941,Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.  The U.S. declared war on Japan and entered the second world war.  Now there is a place where you can see the memorial.
Famous PeopleOne of the most famous people in Hawaii is Ellison Onizuka.  He was born June 24th,1948,He died January 28th,1986.Barak Obama (Was born August 4th,1961)is now the president of the United states of America.  Queen Liliuokalani was the last of Hawaii’s royalty to live in a palace in the U.S.A.
 The Economy  Natural resources in Hawaii are volcanoes and palm trees.  In Hawaii they manufacture hula skirts, leis, pineapple and sugar cane.  People like to go to Hawaii because the beach, sun tanning and Pearl Harbor. In Hawaii they grow a lot of pineapples, kiwi and coconuts.
